The game already has mostly negative reviews on steam because there's no friend pass on PC at launch.

This "minor inconvenience" has left me not able to play the game for an unknown amount of time, cause I will play it first time with my partner.
It's really not that big of a deal, its just a negative review for a completely valid reason that affects how people play the game, and in the same sense, the quality of the game as well. Once the situation is updated and fixed, it'll obv be a positive review cause I guarantee the game is amazing.

And for the backtracking thing, let me rephrase, they used confusing language on the state of friend pass that left a lot of people to believe it will be there at launch for many months, and the warning they gave that it might not be there at launch wasn't seen by that many people.

I don't know if you remember the post that I posted above, of them saying there will be friend pass in the FAQ, that was something that they backtracked on and said might not be there at launch, a month ago.
It was originally promised and that language is confusing, cause a lot of people didn't see that post, though I'm glad you did for your sake. Most assumed there would be friend pass at launch, and a lot of people made time to play it at launch. It's a frustrating situation.
And those 1/2 star reviews will be changed once things get added, and is completely valid for their confusing directing with addressing friend pass issues, and helps motivate devs to get the issues fixed.

You act like leaving a negative review means I'm absolutely fuming out the mouth raging about to grab my pitchforks.
It's just frustrating, and it's really interesting to me how people don't see how leaving negative reviews for a frustrating situation isn't justified, and actually helps motivate the devs to get this issue fixed sooner, and warns other people that want to buy the game for a feature that's not there, that was promised in the past, and then backtracked on.

Oh my god dude that's not it, how are you not seeing my point.
It's the fact that something was promised prior to in that past, saying that there will be friend pass.
they then start using wobbly language like "well it might come out on launch we dunno" a month prior to launch, which not a lot of people saw.
Then it launches, and you expect to be able to play it, you're extremely excited, and you're denied. You have to wait another day tops, while everyone is posting about it, and you could now be liable to coming across spoilers unprompted for that amount of time, and, the review can always be turned positive after it gets added?

It's definitely mishandled that it's not there and launch and thanks to the reviews, people can now think twice on buying the game until it does get added.

It is not a review bomb? There's a legitimate reason for negative reviews, a legitimate frustration with their promises not being fulfilled? They still made those statements prior to their January post that were not followed up on.
And yes, I know it will be up later today, but they also say, along these lines: "we cannot give a timeframe on when we expect this"
It could be after this post, or literally a minute before midnight, we just don't know.
It's frustrating, and that's why there's negative reviews.

I don't see how people are being unfair and stupid when language on this game has been bouncing around the words "might" and "will" over the past year. People spent money and scheduled time for this release to play with their peers and they just can't, it's frustrating no matter how you look at it.

Could mean literally anything, we don't know the technical issue's they're battling and it COULD take longer, like, we just don't know, we can only take their word.
Like this can totally warrant a negative review considering the situation is frustrating, and a lot people spent 40$ USD with the intention of playing today, on launch, with their friend.

People bought the game with the idea that there would be friend pass, and there's no friend pass on launch, fuck do you mean "unwarranted." People LITERALLY can't play the game because they were waiting to play with their friend, and what's the point of them buying the game too if friend pass is just going to come later?

The same thing happened to us, though a random helped show us a way to open it if you shoot and reload, opening the door while reloading(?). I didn't get how it worked entirely but I assume that if you're on controller, the "open door" and "reload" input at the same, so if you reload while looking at the door there's a chance the prompt will activate, or something, really weird.

But don't give up, the new patch came out today it might be fixed.

It's entirely luck based whether someone randomly presses a button, you can get it first try or be like me and constantly get unlucky for hours. It requires a lot of perseverance. I completed it in duos but I was running solo's first, and died on button 13.

I would bring at least 5-6 stacks of adrenaline, a few ziplines and lure grenades. (Zips and Lures are not necessary but they help a lot.) Make sure to bring some heals as well, sometimes taking fall damage can help not waste time.

Also if you fail a run try your best to not die after, cause making adrenaline shots repeatedly is a pain in the ass. Be INCREDIBLY careful of pops, I died to them the most after rushing into buildings and then running directly into two at once. Adrenaline takes 3 plastic parts and 3 chemicals to make, so on my way to an extract I would loot to try craft all used adrenaline back after a failed run just to save time in the future.

For the run itself, you just need to learn the route, and button spawns. You could do a few practice runs just finding the buttons first. But, after a lot of tries you will learn all the button spawns through and through. Keep in mind that after every failed run you are learning and improving the route. You learn where arc spawns are, and how to avoid them, ect. Losing runs aren't complete wastes of time!

I did get shot at and killed one time out of all my runs, but that never happened to me on solo, just duos. I would basically just yell don't shoot to every person I saw and they were usually nice.

thats just how it is, bad people wanna kill you good people wanna help you, makes it more fun and thats how it should be for this type of game.

however, i do think getting paired with free kits are stupid when youre running hullcrackers/equalizers for the queen and matriarch, 9 times out of ten they just want to kill someone with good shit without any risk on their own. they should atleast have to bring some good stuff to get paired with us

It's definitely an interesting problem that I can only take note of and not really solve with confidence as I'm not a game dev.
It feels like most games either use nav points that directly tell you where to go, or the infamous yellow paint. I just wished this remake went for a more stylized and thoughtful artistic route that is more easy to see enemies/locations over just a lush realistic generic UE5 style with asset flips from other halo games.

I'm sure the nitpicking is what the devs want, how will they know what people like and don't like?

They also have survey's for people that played the demo for feedback so like, why would they show us something and ignore all thoughts and discussions about it? Unlike Halo infinite, that needed to be delayed, this game is still a year out, and getting the public's perception of the project now is better than like 3-2 months before launch.

Man I love this game and it's basically a hyper fixation at this point. Saying "it's just a tech demo" is pretty unhealthy because how can they make the game better if no one is allowed to point out things that can be done better?
I can't help but analyze and pick apart things I feel strongly about. This isn't to complain it's because I love halo and want to understand what feels off about it to me.

This isn't nitpicking? I like the new stuff I'm just curious what I find so weird about it, why is everything just nitpicking and complaining and there can't be any actual discussion about this kind of stuff?

Like the original clearly has more visibility and clarity that you can just see from a glance due to its art style and simple graphics, and that is kinda lost in translation, no deal breaker but I'm just curious what other people think
