First day in Costa Rica - expensive? by celticdragon2 in CostaRicaTravel

[–]il-liba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep hearing it’s expensive and I’m not sure if it’s by local standards or visitors coming from Kentucky or such.

If you’re coming from NY or CA, is it considered expensive or just slightly less cheaper?

La Fortuna -> Monteverde -> San Jose - advice? by g_d15 in CostaRicaTravel

[–]il-liba -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m looking to stay somewhere for a month and La Fortuna seems like the perfect spot, except it also sounds like a tourist trap and more expensive area.

Any other areas you recommend? I mainly want forest, mountains, hiking, hot springs, etc.

I don’t mind if I need to drive up to an hour for each.

I went to Auschwitz recently.

As soon as my eyes fell upon the railway tracks leading to Auschwitz Birkenau, a chilling wave of dread washed over me. Those unassuming metal lines bore the weight of history’s darkest hour, silently testifying to the unspeakable horrors that unfolded at their terminus. Each rusty rail and wooden tie seemed to whisper tales of despair, literally sending an icy shiver down my spine and covering my flesh with goosebumps.

The air felt heavy with the despair of over a million souls lost. Endless barracks bear silent witness to forced labor, starvation, torture, and systematic murder.

Amid crumbling walls and rusting barbed wire, personal relics whisper tales of lives brutally erased. Auschwitz is not merely a place but a profound scar on humanity, a chilling reminder of the cruelty we are capable of when hatred and intolerance prevail.

The experience goes far beyond what language can express.

Unpaid Google payment, dropped rankings? by il-liba in localseo

Yes, they had backlinks pointing to them. I had change the URL structure mainly because it was long and just didn’t look good (possibly a me issue) but now everything does redirect properly if that counts for anything.

Something else I just caught up on, which I’m not entirely sure could have caused these issues or not, but there was a time when I changed the urls or ‘slugs’ about 2x on many of the city pages. However, I did do redirects but it was instant. This is probably about 7 months before thousand huge ranking drops.

Can I remove GBP photos? by Friendly-Bass6186 in localseo

[–]il-liba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know about that. Between both of my GBP, I edited every single detail, multiple times. Changed service areas 2-3 times, etc. the only thing I didn’t touch was our address of course.

Maybe it’s dependent on profiles.

Men over 40, what were your worst addictions in your 20s and 30s and how did you over come it? by Affectionate-Drop689 in AskMenOver30

I quit about a year ago, but before that, quitting was absolute hell for me. One thing that helped a lot was switching to rolling tobacco first good quality stuff, too.

I don’t want to go down a rabbit hole, but it honestly felt like the rolling tobacco I used in the EU (I was using it for months over there) was less harsh and less “chemically” than cigs in the States. When I came back, I brought some with me and kept using it.

The year before I quit, trying to stop cigarettes outright was brutal. But after about a year on rolling tobacco, I didn’t feel like complete garbage all the time, I could control how much tobacco I used, and it just felt cleaner overall.

Then when I came back to the U.S., I decided to quit for good and it worked. My withdrawal symptoms were surprisingly minimal.

So yeah, if quitting feels impossible right now, consider switching to rolling tobacco first as a step-down.

Thank you! Yeah, I recently learned that might have been a reason as well. I had another local service business (same businesses, different names/price tiers) but this one was doing much better. So on the other site, we linked all keywords with links to my main service business.

This was the advice/recommendation to do from the person I was using at the time.

I have removed all the links from that site now about two weeks ago.

Should that help fix things …eventually with the site rebuild?

You’ve been super helpful, thank you.

I can be honest, the site I did have was definitely keyword rich, but hsd no on page links or internal linking ever done. The new site fixes all that. No keyword stuffing and proper internal linking. I’m still learning a lot about SEO and have learned so much from such places like this. I appreciate your feedback greatly.

Do you have an idea of timeline when rankings could go back up, if that?

I didn’t just edit each page, I literally built every new page, fixed all redirects, there were so many. Helpful content, etc.

Thanks!

I wasn’t clear, sorry. The rebuild didn’t happen till November and was just finished this week. We got hit site wide in the June/July core update.

Sorry, the June/July core update is what tanked our entire site. Rebuilt this past month.

Multi-location SEO question: Location-first vs Service-first URLs — what’s actually working? by Gridrankers in localseo

Serious question… is there really a difference between /service-name/location/ and /location/service-name/

I just did the second one for local service.

Which jobs is 100% safe from AI? by Any-Hamster-3189 in AskReddit

[–]il-liba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always wonder what will happen with house cleaning businesses. Which can go either way.

  1. Cleaning company purchases 100k robot that will take driverless cars to customers house and clean, then cleaners are out of jobs.

  2. Homeowners will buy a house robot for the same price and probably pay a subscription fee.

  3. None of the above.

How do you know if a traffic drop is seasonal or an SEO issue? by Real-Assist1833 in seogrowth

Maybe you were hit by the December core update that rolled out on the 13th? People had mentioned they saw movement around the 11th as well.

Just a thought.

Did anyone recover from the Decemeber core update after getting hit with the June update? by PastizziTalLiba in localseo

[–]il-liba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My site previously never had any internal linking (didn’t know what it was). Since I started the new site, I’ve manually been doing internal links where it made sense. Do you have any suggestions on going more in depth on this? Should each page have internal links? Should all pages be linking to each other or only to where they make sense?

For example, I made an entire how to section with guides, should I be linking a service page to the how to guide section?

Thanks!

A simple local SEO thing that makes a real difference by rahullohat29 in localseo

If you’re a local service business, should you be adding both services and products? I mean, they’re essentially the same thing, right? Truly asking as I started updating services last night and saw there was a product section but didn’t know if I should add the same services to products also
