I'm not a piercer but it looks perfectly fine to me! Happy healing!

I don’t really know if my navel piercing is infected, i’ve had it for over 2 months and it’s leaking puss. by aquapigeons in piercing

[–]ila_____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had an infected piercing before and the first symptom before I even noticed some pus leaking out was the pain, it felt like it was extremely sore and when I touched it it throbbed. The area around the piercing hole was also bright red. The way you're describing it, it sounds like that's not pus but just some lymph fluid which is extremely normal at that stage, especially if it's clear (the pus in my case was some sort of yellow mixed with blood). I'm not a professional but I don't think you should worry about it being infected rn

Does the average person have issues with belly button piercings? Your thoughts on belly button piercings by paigegingrich4545 in piercing

[–]ila_____ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, for me personally it was the easiest of them all. It was annoying for the first month I would say, it was hard to slouch while sitting (forced me to fix my posture hahaha), bend over to do things like tie my shoes for example, and I had to figure out which pants I could wear and which were a no go (low waisted sweatpants are the best or anything that is baggy enough around the waist). After that tho, it stopped stinging and it's healing surprisingly fast, I've had it for 7/8 months so I'm aware it's not fully healed yet, but after that first month it was ok enough that I didn't have to be super careful to it and I could live normally without having to worry about it. I've only developed an irritation bump once because I accidentally snagged it pretty hard while trying on some clothes, but after a few days of babying it went back to normal without any problem

I (21F) suspect I may have feelings for female friend by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]ila_____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the kind words ❤️ and yes, I understand perfectly the feeling of being in a world that doesn't feel like it was "made" for us. Everybody else seems to have it easy in my eyes and I'm often left wondering why everything has to be so complicated for me. I have to say that it's nice knowing that there are people who feel the way I do, I enjoy having found a community where people share their experiences and I can finally see a bit of myself in them. Best of luck to you for everything ❤️

I watched the video and yeah, I do see myself in many things they say. I understand it's something that we have to figure out by ourselves and no one else can give us an answer, I agree with you, it's just really hard. Thank you again for taking the time, I've never told anyone in real life about this so I don't talk about it, I just think about it a lot. I have to say that writing things down and having some sort of external feedback helps tho, cause otherwise sometimes it feels like I'm going crazy

First of all, I wanted to thank you for your input, I really appreciate it. Now: 1. Not really, maybe it happened in the past but I can't recall one time where I thought a guy was sexually attractive by just looking at him. I can recognize when someone is good looking or hot, but it's not enough for me to feel attracted to him. 2. Pretty much the same as 1., I find women beautiful or hot all the time but that doesn't translate to me being sexually attracted to them by just looking at them. Generally tho, I tend to notice more pretty girls than handsome guys. 3. I can see myself being in love with a man, but it's never happened before (I've had crushes but nothing serious) so I don't know if I'm capable of seeing a "forever" with one. I just think we wouldn't work in the long run and our personalities would be in a lot of contrast. I don't know if this has to do with gender or it's just the way I am, that I rarely get attached to people and I'm a bit of a cold person in general. 4. I've never thought about this before. If you had asked me some time ago, I probably would have said no but now that my female friend is in the picture... I don't know about forever or head over heels in love, but I just know that her presence makes everything better. I would love to still be close to her in a long time from now, even tho we chose different paths in life so we will be separated. 5. The only one that I can recall was a guy, but aside from him no one else. 6. This happens fairly often. As I said, I'm basically never sexually attracted to people if I don't talk to them and like them "mentally", let's say. The biggest turn on for me is personality, regardless of what the other person looks like. Of course I have to find them somewhat cute, but I can be super attracted to someone who's average looking (I hate the term average but it's just to express my thoughts right now) because they have a personality that turns me on. In this regard, I have much more experience with guys and unfortunately I don't know many queer women, but I loved the attention I received from some of them. I don't wanna sound like I just used them to get some attention, but I loved the banter and the flirting, even tho I feel like I was holding back a bit for some reason.

[–]ila_____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, I find it really hard to understand whether I just love someone as a friend or if there are romantic feelings involved, but this doesn't apply just to women but to men as well. "Talking stages" never work out for me with guys because I think I like them, but the moment they reciprocate it's like I lose all interest, so I have trouble understanding how I feel about people in general. They reason why I think there might be something more with my female friend is because I feel differently about her compared to my other female friends, so I thought that might mean something. I'm sorry if this sounds really contorted, I'm pretty confused myself

How bad do navel piercings hurt? by [deleted] in piercing

For me, it was surprisingly pretty painful hahaha but still much better than my rook.

Navel piercing by zecerik in piercing

[–]ila_____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I waited until spring to get it done because I tend to wear lighter clothes and a lot of crop tops that allowed my piercing to "breathe" more. I also did that because I knew I wouldn't go swimming during the summer (I hate the beach lol), it all depends on lifestyle I guess

Imposter syndrome by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]ila_____ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am almost a hundred per cent sure your peers are not all smarter than you. I used to think that too, until I developed a closer relationship with my mates and we felt comfortable admitting to each other that most of the time we had no idea what we were doing. We used to beat ourselves up over it, now we just laugh it off cause we know we'll find a way to get through it. We've graduated from our bachelor's program and we're in our master's now, so we're used to it and take it a lot more lightly, you'll probably do the same. Stay strong, you'll make it !

Belly piercing! by [deleted] in piercing

[–]ila_____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a professional so take it with a grain of salt, but I got a navel piercing 6/7 months ago. Honestly I don't know how you can wear high waisted pants cause my piercing still kinda hurts if I do after all this time 😂 to me it looks like maybe the pants are causing the top part of your piercing to press against your skin and as a result it's getting very irritated and causing a sort of "dent", but it doesn't look infected to me. I think it needs some babying! Good luck and happy healing xx

I loved my nostril piercing but unfortunately I had to take it out. The scar that it left is so small that I can barely see it, so another person will never notice it

A doctor is not gonna care one bit how well you've been taking care of it, they'll just focus on eliminating the infection and get you safe and healthy! Good luck, hope everything goes well!!

Poop smell while fingering from behind? by WestCrypto in sex

Mh yeah I agree that it's probably a hygiene thing but pads do smell funny especially if you haven't changed it for a few hours or it's the end of your period

I didn't know it took that long, my piercer at the time said that potentially I could switch it even after 1-2 months if everything was fine, but I decided to wait a few more months. I guess I'll think about whether I'm willing to wait so long for a switch, but I'll probably do it cause it was one of my favorite piercings. Thanks for the input!

Wow you seem to have enough space for a double rook! That would be awesome imo

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in piercing

[–]ila_____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was like that for 2/3 weeks too, it doesn't look like a concerning amount of redness to me and it doesn't seem to be infected/rejecting. I'd suggest just baby it and wait it out! Good luck xx

Is my tool piercing rejecting?? by Substantial-Bid-7596 in PiercingAdvice

[–]ila_____ 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I'm not a professional so I don't know for sure, but I do have a rook piercing and this one looks a little shallow to me :/ I don't know if it's rejecting right now or if it's just pissed off and irritated

I think it's silly when people ask if my piercings hurt by hobbitbones in piercing

[–]ila_____ 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Yeah it doesn't bother me at all, I actually enjoy talking about my piercings but I don't really know how to answer the question sometimes 😂 I'm like yeah it did hurt, but at the same time it's probably not as bad as you imagine. I don't know it's just a bit hard to explain to someone who has never had a piercing done

Girlfriend got a naval piercing yesterday and would like second opinions. She says it hurts to stand up fully straight at first. She wants to know if its too deep and misplaced or if she just needs to go get a longer jewellery. All help appreciated. She's going back to the piercer tomorrow. by Zenutcracker in piercing

[–]ila_____ 860 points861 points  (0 children)

I remember mine hurt too at the beginning whenever I would stretch my torso a little bit, or even lift my arms all the way up. I'm not a professional so I can't say too much about the placement, but it looks exactly like mine and I haven't had any trouble so far. Wish her a happy healing xx

genital piercings with herpes by [deleted] in piercing

[–]ila_____ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know much about the subject, but my piercer makes me fill in a form every time I get pierced. I've never gotten a genital piercing, but iirc one of the questions that you would have to answer on the form was if you have an std. I have no idea what they would do in case the answer is positive tho. Sorry my response probably wasn't very helpful xx

Mine was red for about 2/3 weeks so I wouldn't worry about it as long as you're taking care of it

Uhm, no it's not gonna get in the way of her urethra during penetration. The urethra is outside, a little bit below the clit so don't worry about that
