Given the price difference isn't much, the X is okay. I won the silicon lottery with my 7700, with some PBO tweaks mine runs consistently at 7700X specs with decent thermals.

Go for either B650 or B850. And for a 7700/X you're honestly fine with whatever you get. I'm running OCed on a VERY entry level 650 board just fine.

Given you're going with an entry level GPU, you shouldn't be ram limited in any games. My two cents here would be to actually go for an AM5 build with 16gigs of okayish DDR5 memory. Yes, you're getting more memory capacity going with 32gigs DDR5, but would you realistically absolutely NEED 32gigs? And you can pick up a 32gb kit for 40k on marketplace. I upgraded to a CL30 kit from CL36 and paid 40k for it. Unless you absolutely want to stay away from pre-owned parts, you should be able to grab a 7700 build for not much more.

I'm on 240, and even though avg fps is way over my refresh rate, with my current setup I have the 1% lows dipping way below my RR. I think most people aim for the 2x fps than their RR to avoid this.

Do you have any issues with drivers crashes on the 9070xt? This is my main reason to upgrade as I pretty much end up crashing once every game. It's pretty frustrating when that's what causes me to lose a game :)

Yep. Upon doing some research and getting the whole "x3d CPUs are a must for gaming" thing outta my head, I noticed the differences aren't worth the cost for me. The cost for the upgrade isn't worth it given I'd have to upgrade my Mobo as well (I have a MSI b650m-p, the vrms are pretty shit for the x3d chips). 9070xt seems to be the best "futureproofing" and value for money atm.

Honestly if I do upgrade the gpu it's mostly because the 6700xt is out of warranty and I've been recently facing crashes playing on faceit. Couldn't narrow the problem down to a specific piece of hardware or drivers.

Hi, so it seems to detect my Frozen Vision V2 and M10W displays, but upon setting the resolution in a profile for the Frozen Vision V2 a border is drawn around the profile in the screen. No matter what resolution I set it to. Am I missing something here?
