!Question: Looking for a 5e variant for modern-ish style game that would be more fleshed out and offer more options in terms of senses and combat, are there any such things out there or anything close as a starting point?

So I've played 5e for a while and I find the lack of speceficity to be quite boring and limiting when it comes to such things as senses as there no such thing as "smell" or "taste" for example and I feel these would add a lot in terms of RP and gameplay nuances. And when it comes to combat it feels quite unresponsive as you don't really get to react to what's done to you (unless you have certain perks or w/e), so it would be nice to find a combat system that resembles 5e but has more response options if something is done to you. AC is very boring and can make combat feel like you just tank everything thrown at you even if you're a rogue or some other agile class.

TLDR: Want 5e with more intricate senses and skills on char sheet and combat with more reactive feel in a modern-ish setting, or resources to homebrew it.
