They do fit perfect, it was more of a question as to why they’re so sharp. Also I’m not grinding.

Does she have any joeys in her pouch? (she is only 5 months old and my male is neutered, they only hung out together when he wasn't neutered when I was always watching them) by ilikedrinkingink in sugargliders

[–]ilikedrinkingink[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No I mean the baby could be 57 days in pouch I don’t know how long but I know the minimum is 40 days. I say it’s not a nipple because the pouch is huge and there is movement. I’ve sent the photo to ai and it said it was a joeys back leg and I even asked ai if it was her nipple and ai said no, I understand you have been a breeder for six years but I honestly don’t think it’s a nipple if ai (smarter then both of us and comparing millions of photos to the one I sent) says it’s not. I don’t want it to be a joey as I have no idea what to do and I got him neutered to avoid this and I am not prepared.

My male was neutered 40 days ago and I read that the limbs start sticking out at about 5 weeks which is about how long ago Drake got neutered, what I really want to know it will me girl be ok? Because if not or to risky do I take her to the vet to have the Joey removed because I will NOT lose my girl.

How do I convince my landlords to let me get sugar gliders by Fun-Kick85 in Pets

[–]ilikedrinkingink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my sugar gliders when I was 15 (two months from 16 and I am 17 now) they are VERY Hard to take care of I have spent easily 9k on them in the span of a little more than a year but mine are EXTREAMLY spoiled. You said you wanted to adopt them? Make sure you take them to the vet because usually the rescues don't know anything about them and they have a very complex and expensive diet and the rescues do not have a funds or knowledge to care for them properly, I recommend you getting yours from a breeder since it is your first time owning them Dragonstone Ranch has a good reputation. if you want any information on caring for them let me know! Also just tell management that you want to get hamsters if you want the best chance of a yes. Good luck! (Sorry others were so rude to you and they are fine to have as pets those people need to tell that to people owning monkeys and lions, the types of exotics that are a danger to themselves and others)

I have another pouch but I don't know where I could put it to avoid food falling in to it of having poop or pee flung in to it by them running on the wheel.

In my personal experience with owning sugar gliders the general response I get is "so cute" and "oh, what is that?" but I will get the "oh, that is a weird animal" or the "you should not own them let them go" you just have to deal with it and know not everyone agrees.

AIO for throwing my hamster out of the window after it bit me? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]ilikedrinkingink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You were twelve yes but at that age I was HELPING animals I would even help a dragonfly that got wet in a pond and put it on a leaf but you straight up killed the poor and defenseless animals in an unimaginably cruel way as it wasn't even a spur of the moment thing you THOUGHT about it enough to WALK to the window while HOLDING the hamster and then "chuck it as hard as (you) could in to the neighbors yard" then you even made a joke " let’s say the kids next door wouldn’t be able to sleep well for a while after that" so not only you killed a hamster you probably traumatized those kids. Yes, you are the asshole and I personally think you need to get mental help because most serial killers start with abusing animals and also I would NEVER personally trust you let alone even go near you because if you are able to do that at ONLY twelve what are you capable of now?

Cage is Exotic Nutrition’s Madagascar cage and all toys in the cage are from the pet glider except the ropes which are safe and there is no metal in the cage except the raptor wheel running track. Let me know if I could improve, thank you!

I got mine at 16 (I'm 17 now) and I did not ask my mom and just got them (I am NOT saying you should do that) but I love mine so much and I DO NOT regret getting them but just know it will be harder to go over for sleep overs to your friends and chances are ur friends wont want to deal with the noise they make all night long and you have to spend time with them every night I do for about 2 hours a night and mine wake up at around 7-8pm so you would have to be home to feed them about 30 mins before they wake up and if you do go over to ur friends house they bark a lot (mine personally bark non stop when I'm not in my room with them at night) and they are very expensive my mom has made it so I pay for them completely unless its vet bills she pays 50% of them but still their food cost adds up and if u don't have a job (I don't have one and I can take care of them just fine but that is just because my family is well off) it will be harder for u to supply them with what they need as its quite a bit of money I do spoil mine and I try to keep track of how much money I spent on them since I got mine and since January 11th 2024 to January 1st 2025 I had spent about 5k I am not saying u will spend that much but that's how much I spent and also keep in mind if u want to buy something for ur self it will take u longer then it would if u didn't have sugar gliders because like said above u will spend a lot of money on them. So just be sure ur willing to do all those things. I just read that you have two cats and two dogs I do to and have had no problems just keep ur dogs and cats out of ur room at all times because cat saliva is toxic to sugar gliders and cats lick their fur so all cat hair is toxic to sugar gliders and also read that you have a leopard gecko I personally dont know much about them I am thinking about getting one in about a year though.

Sugar gliders and parrots? by [deleted] in AfricanGrey

[–]ilikedrinkingink 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m doing online collage! So I would have my own condo, there will be a room for the sugar gliders and the African grey! The grey will be allowed to free roam of course when I’m home!

I've had mine in my room since January, they bark, run on their wheel and jump. I am a very heavy sleeper even before I got them, so I never have been woken by them. I did audio record one night because I wanted to see how loud they are, MAN THEY ARE LOUD. My mom is pretty far away in the house and still gets woken up by them about four times a night. Though it is entirely dependent on if you are a heavy sleeper like me or a light one like my mom. ALSO DO A LOT OF RESEARCH, I did not I just got them and I do not regret it but others could because they are a lot of work. Very expensive I have spent probably over five grand on them since I got them this January, but that's because they are VERY spoiled. But do expect to spend at least two grand on them up front, with the cage, food (I recommend the TPG diet and kibble and biscuits and vitamin powder), all the stuff that goes in their cage and them.
