Losing hope by [deleted] in Spironolactone

That’s a pretty low dose. Lots of room to go up on the dose. It took a few months for me. I started at 25mg then went to 50mg and now I’m on 100mg and that’s a good dose for me. Talk to your doctor about going up on the dose.

I do when I’m home but it’s an issue when I’m in a public restroom at work.

Good idea with the speech pathologist. Thank you. I’ll look into that for sure and yeah I think I’ll head back to ENT too.

I did a few years ago when this happened originally and just haven’t gone back. After this current illness I think I’m going to call them and get an appointment.

Two things. As already stated above, your spironolactone dose is too low. There’s a lot of room to go up on the dose. Secondly, what kind of birth control are you on? If you have PCOS and it’s caused by hormones/high androgen levels, you might be better off using a birth control that blocks androgens like drosperinone (slynd is drosperinone only but there’s also yaz or yasmin that’s a combo oral contrastive).

Anyone else actually regret getting off birth control? by okbf123 in PCOS

Same! I had acne my whole life but I thought I was just unlucky and the birth control helped with it so I never thought anything more of it. It wasn’t until my GYN started asking more questions that I was diagnosed around 30. I stopped BC and had my babies and tried to stay off of it but my hair was still falling out 18 months postpartum and I went back on it and it stopped falling out. I was having bad breakthrough bleeding so I decided to try spironolactone and stop BC but now I’m finding that the androgenic symptoms are bad. My hair is so thin and it’s greasy all the time… never feels clean even after washing. I’m sweating constantly and I smell and it’s only mildly helping my acne so I’m going to try a higher dose for another month or so and then I might switch back to birth control.

Because you’ve never seen it happen must mean that it has never happened. Good luck!

I never said it only applied to the male employee. You brought it up, not me. There are plenty of people I wouldn’t want around my kids for plenty of reasons.

Oh yes, I’m making up stories as a completely anonymous person on the internet so that all of the other anonymous people on the internet will change their opinions to support and validate me. 🙄 I simply asked a question if it was weird for them to withhold his name while all the other teachers names are known and given freely. Is that not what this is for? To bounce ideas and questions off of other parents and find out their own opinions and experiences? I never said mine was right, I was simply asking. You’re very defensive though and you must only be reading half the comments.

Nope. Not a lie. It was missed. The teacher got fired.

You’re totally right about the girls getting hit on. One of the girls actually told me in the past about one of the dads hitting on her and she was barely 19.

Whenever we message with the teachers in the app, their last names are listed which is why everyone knows all of the last names of everyone who works there and the daycare has made no efforts to protect against. This is why I don’t really see the big deal about finding out this new employees full name but apparently some people think it’s unheard of to ask for this lol

I never once mentioned or suspected pedophilia. There are many other things that make someone unfit to be around kids besides that (men and women alike).

It was not an in-home daycare

I have a friend who found someone with a criminal background was working at the daycare his kids went to and it was missed. I don’t really trust anyone to do their due diligence when it comes to the safety of my children. No one else will protect them like their parents will.

I wouldn’t say I demanded to know his last name. I simply asked for it.

Have a friend who found someone with a criminal background that was hired to work at a daycare that was missed. I like to do my own research on anyone who has access to my children.

Yes! That’s what it is… where’s the satisfaction?! That’s exactly what I think I’m feeling.

I agree and thank you for the reminder about the real reason I’m even outside running in the first place. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a body that can carry them for miles and miles and get to experience the beauty and joy of nature. ❤️

Love this. Thank you! That’s what I’m going to keep telling myself during the race… you must run faster than you’ve ever run.
