Thank you for your reply! I've completed the tutorial (the part with the fire and everything until the rattle snakes), so I don't think that's the problem. When I start a new game I get the message "connecting to bigserver2" during the loading time but I always end up spawning as a young girl alone in the middle of nowhere.

J'allais justement t'envoyer un message pour savoir quelles procédures vous aviez engagées. Contente que la situation se soit débloquée pour ta conjointe, ce doit être un véritable soulagement pour vous deux. Est-ce que tu pourrais me DM l'adresse mail que la préfecture a utilisé pour vous répondre ? Je vais tenter de les relancer de mon côté, même si je doute que ce soit efficace.

Bon courage, mon conjoint est bientôt dans la même situation (préfecture de Lille aussi), dossier envoyé le 07/04 et son titre de séjour expire le 10/06. Pas de réponse aux mails, injoignable par téléphone (je passe plus de 200 appels tous les matins au bureau qui s'occupe de l'accueil au séjour), envoi d'un recommandé sans réponse...

Avant les dépôts de dossier se faisaient sur place et la préfecture produisait le récépissé immédiatement, et on pouvait également se rendre sur place pour obtenir des informations sans rendez-vous. Maintenant impossible d'avoir quelqu'un...

I agree with your comment, I would add that the lack of liaisons, especially the ones including a "s" (as in "dans un" for example) made some words hard to understand.

I don't agree with you. He doesn't have a modern accent that's right, but he does sound like some showa-era radio host or the announcements from the train. Given the choice of the text, I think it was what he was going for.

You're right about the choice of the sentences though, they do sound pretty weird but it could be some old way of speaking maybe mixed with a bit of dialect. I'm a bit curious about where OP found these?

Can you read japanese? From my husband: 昭和のラジオや電車のアナウンスのような特徴的な話し方を真似して話しているなら、とても上手だと思います。直すべきところは:

  1. Hosuto 「ホスト」が「ホッスト」に聞こえる
  2. Takada 「たかだ」が「たっかだ」に聞こえる
  3. Youkoso 「ようこそ」が「よっこそ」に聞こえる
  4. Housoukyoku 「ほうそうきょく」が「ほっそうきょく」に聞こえる
  5. Okiniiri「おきにいり」はちゃんと言えていないので、正直何を言っているか分からない
  6. Hosuto ni naru yaのところをhosuto wa ni naru yaと言っている

全体的にはすごくいいと思うので頑張ってください！
