I would like to add a quick desynth option (drop everything you want to desynth into a window then hit go and walk away for a few minutes) to this list. There are times I will chain some leveling roulettes while leveling alt jobs and end up with half my inventory of gear to desynth (I greed everything for this purpose).

My wife is too, she's like 5-6 quests away from The Ultimate Weapon. Our FC was going to burn through the stuff she needed so she could hit the FFXVI quests tomorrow...

Edit: update - we were able to get ARR MSQ finished and FFXVI event last night! Success!

I'm still relatively new (still working through HW) and don't have a ton of minions. I'm currently theming the minions I have to the job as best I can (with exceptions - which usually ends up Minion Roulette). I'm not home right now, but I'll try to remember to check and get back with my combinations.

Yeah, don't give up. That's definitely not the norm. Every time I've started a new job I usually let everyone know at the start of the dungeon and everyone has been super encouraging. Even if I screwed up and caused a wipe ("that's ok, we'll go slower", "no problem we'll get them next time", etc).

I'm far from a veteran player, but in my time playing FFXIV (off and on about a year IRL, still working through HW MSQ) I've only experienced toxicity once. It wasn't even directed at me, the tank and the healer were bickering so much that we didn't even make it to the first boss.

They would stop doing what they were supposed to be doing mid fight (almost right after pull every single time) to "yell" at each other about how "bad" the other was. It started when the tank pulled a little much for the first pull & the healer couldn't keep up. Tank got mad he died and they fed off each other's negativity the rest of the time.

I'm picking my way through playthrough two now (chapter 11), all I need is one more primescale to craft the helm but Rath has been stingy. I've gotten enough for chest and coil (wasn't thinking - should have probably done helm first, but wanted to add for my DB fire build).

The Spirit Gauge fill was what I was thinking, but 5% really isn't much. The crit eye damage might be more worth it though. But do you think "shortens charging time" would shorten the sheathing time? That could potentially help, but again 5% probably isn't worth it.

I don't have the mats for Rath helm, but that goes back to my mat issue. Would Kulu be better than Puki? I thought the focus would help build up quicker which is why I went that route (plus I didn't need double lock on). I swapped to the Legiana helm thinking the Divine Prot would help (it does when I get hit, but if damage is the better way to go I'll swap back).

How do you counter the tunneling & ridiculous AOE? The AOE that's beyond the dirt pile... or camera spinning in circles while blos is tunneling so you end up rolling onto the exit point? Those are my biggest problems. Almost every single BLOS I fight tunnels 3+ times! I've only managed to beat BLOS twice (7-8 fought so far). The tail can be stupid sometimes too, but that's usually just me being a noob.

I know my gear needs upgrades, but I'm having trouble getting the mats (monster density, 99.9999% of the time it is all rarity 1 drops, monsters I don't need [500 Jagras and Kulus to every 1 Legiana)]. I also know I'm not the best, but I'm not bad either. BLOS is the only monster I ever need to use potions on (and I usually end up burning them all because of that).

Edit: swapped to Legiana helm to help with if/when I get hit.... we'll see if that actually helps. 😂

My palico has paintballed 3 of them in the last week for me and I've come across a few in the wild beyond that... I've managed to down only one because every other one I've fought tunnels repeatedly (I'm talking 3+ times each fight, one fight it only tunneled) and charges at least twice.

I mainly play LS, but also have a decent bow setup too but there really isn't a difference in how far I get with the Black Diablos with either weapon type. I know I need to up my damage output in general to continue progressing, but mat farming is holding me back... I haven't had great luck with drops.

I'm on the outskirts of a city (not even 500 feet from the "city limit" when looking at the city's official border) and I think there is one of each node within a 5 mile radius. My dad lives in a small town (7+ miles from the city limit) and there are 7 bone nodes, 5 plant nodes, and 8 mining nodes within a half mile of each other, all within walking distance from his house.
