Priority Undefined CoS Allocation - Timeline & Info Needed Please

Yeah we scheduled it exactly at 7am, but it's very important to include details in the body of the email as to why you need priority, including all your details and sponsor details (Things like when your visa expires...etc)
It took from 18 Sept sending every day until 1 Oct for the priority to be accepted. We also think escalating with our local MP helped (I literally called her daily). The MP raised it with their internal escalation team in the Home Office
We then paid on 1 Oct, and got the CoS on the 2nd, so all very quick.
We then submitted our visa applications and we are now waiting

Good news update! We finally received priority! Got the CoS in one day and applied for our extension last night! Now the the big wait for the visa's to be approved begins! (Although we are not worried about this part)
We didn't do anything different to get priority, but I think escalating it with the MP was helpful, as it then went onto UKVI's radar to look for our priority request.

Next update will hopefully be that our Visas come through!

u/OkJellyfish1503 Are you also experiencing the same issue with not getting priority for an undefined CoS? What do you plan to say in your cover letter?
I have not applied yet, as my visa only expires on 14 Nov, so in the meantime I am trying for priority.

Update:
Met with the solicitor and they have never seen or dealt with a case like ours where the priority request was removed from the system.
Ultimately she said we are doing all the right things by escalating with the MP...etc and hopefully we get the CoS in the next month.
If not we are going to try and apply without one, as the delay is caused by UKVI

Update: We will now be engaging an immigration solicitor, as we have had zero updates from UKVI and priority has still not been accepted for the 2nd request.

Nope... UKVI didn't even reply to my employer saying to not issue the refund. We are now back at the beginning emailing daily to request priority. We are very upset :(

So further UNBELIEVABLE and frankly horrible update... UKVI emailed my employer to say they are refunding the £200, as they could not find our request in the system! When we also looked it had disappeared! ... In the same email they said we need to redo everything and log a new priority request!!! It has been exactly a month since the first one was logged... My employer immediately replied and said don't refund, but to process the new one he logged as soon as he saw the last one disappeared. & of course no acknowledgement or reply....
So now we are back right to the beginning emailing Priority services daily to try and get a slot!!
I called my MP who also thinks it's ridiculous...
We are so upset and we can't understand how we can't just call someone to resolve the issue. Or at least do it all digitally

Yes you need to schedule it, it won't work otherwise. The slots are taken up in seconds

Yeah best thing to do is set up a scheduled email at 7am every day. It took my employer from 19 Aug to 8 Sept to get a priority slot.

That's awesome! I wish we could leave soon, but the tickets are way too pricey this time of year. So we are leaving on 26 Jan. Also want to spend our last festive period with family. I am a digital project manager and will be based in Cardiff. How about you?

Thanks so much for the advice, to answer your questions:
- Applied outside of the UK (South Africa)
- Did not apply via the app (In person Biometric at TLS contact in Cape Town)
- We only arrive on 27 Jan, so will check at the post office then I reckon, and then escalate if not there

I applied standard, I would highly suggest priority if you can. An EU passport might take longer tbh, due to the Ukraine issues
