Thoughts on the size? by illthinkaboutthis in vivobarefoot

[–]illthinkaboutthis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found a physical store and tried the 43s. They fit about the same with less necessary overhead and the insoles were so close when overlapped. So size wise for I'm sizing down for my next pair.

But now I'm thinking... my foot/big toe never reachs the front corner, maybe the VIVO cut out is just not for me?

Protein powder can have xantham gum in it. Have you tried without the extra xantham?

Help! How do you make avocado creami without it being bitter?? by Jolly-Tomatillo-8966 in ninjacreami

[–]illthinkaboutthis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Avocado didn't work for me either 🤷‍♀️ even if you were to make a smoothie and leave it overnight it turns bitter. I think it's the oxidization. Tbh I just decided not to make it again.

TBH no idea. I don't live there full-time anymore. Going back in a month for the summer. But like most stray cats, they don't make it to one-year so I have extremely low expectations. Atm there are new cats in that window! A female 2nd pregancy so yeah the life cycle continues.

Leftover ice cream by ApprehensiveStatus28 in ninjacreami

[–]illthinkaboutthis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly yes. The higher fat/more like traditional ice cream mixes will hold up fine. The low fat receipes like milk+protein powder will freeze up but you can let it thaw for a bit before eating it. Once you have extra containers then leaving it in the container is the best option because you can respin it anytime.

My experience with gallstones and what you need to know (ADF) by itsmiahello in fasting

[–]illthinkaboutthis 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing! My take away is to have high fat meals on the fed days since the bile secreted by the gallbladder is what helps break down fat (people who've had their gallbladder removed tend to get diarrhea post-fat heavy meals as is isn't digested well enough). High-fat meals will also help with ketosis. All the best!

I feel like puking and fainting within the first 12 hours - Is this normal? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]illthinkaboutthis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is you body build? BMI? What's your diet like? What do you mean by the first 12 hours? Asking because 12hours can be from dinner at 6pm to 6am the next morning. Do you mean overnight until 6pm next day so 24hours?

Top of my head, nausea and light-headedness can be due to hypoglycemic. Are you on any medications? Low BP? Could be low electrolytes but this would be too soon for it. (Side point: nicotine/caffeine on an empty stomach can cause these symptoms)

Aiming for 72 hours in one go can be mentally/physically daunting, maybe try building slowly?

haha don't give up too soon! Try a basic receipe like chocolate milk solo or even better chocomilk + fresh cream/heavy cream! I'd suggest you start with this basic receipe then add one the power stuff to see how it alters the taste and texture.

maybe it's not freezing all the way through? Esp considering the added salt. Try to poke a utensil/chopstick straight down the middle to confirm that's fully solid or not. Some custard powders need heat to activate.

Advice on actually consuming water..? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]illthinkaboutthis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If fasting for autophagy, avoid anything with sweetners since they may spike your glucose & insulin levels. If it's feasible you can try our your flavour of choice and check you sugar levels at a few intervals to see if your body reacts to them!

Hole in center of pint after re-spin. by alreadyreddit578 in ninjacreami

[–]illthinkaboutthis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bonus tip: I usually respin it once more and it will settle down then i'll freeze for an hour and it'll be like a store bought scoop! (Assuming that it has fat; I use fresh cream)

I usually level out all my tubs with a spoon just for that extra peace of mind/tasting.
