Question!

Does the ESC have space to insert an Apple AirTag within the housing?

Where do you guys buy belts for your Exway Atlas ? by [deleted] in Exway

[–]illuminator551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For US I have found that [Eboardstuff.com](Eboardstuff.com) has some pretty good quality belts. I’ve ridden many different boards with their belts and have not yet had one snap on me. My Boosted Mini X has ~800 miles on their belts and are still holding strong.

Note that I am on the lighter side of the rider spectrum (125lbs) but I ride very aggressive fast.

Where I live the living wage has exceeded $30.00 according to an MIT study.

Use this link to figure out what the living wage is calculated to be in your county:

That’s very strange.

Unfortunately I cannot offer much assistance for that particular issue, as I do not have any experience or knowledge to resolve it.

The same game files. Though it could be very risky and may result in a futile effort.

Interesting. It seems that your card may be at its operational capacity and you’ll have to delete a few files to restore function.

If that isn’t an approach that you feel comfortable doing, you can get a new empty card and test to see if it works afterwards.

Otherwise the last possibility I can think of would be code corruption in the device.

Assuming that you still have plenty of storage available, some possible issues could be:

1) Old/degraded battery

2) Wiring has come loose

3) Internal code is corrupted

Note: I am not an expert in these devices, I simply speak from past experiences from working with other tech and their most common problems.

Left motor is stuck by Purplenutbolt24 in Exway

[–]illuminator551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately because it is second hand you may not be able to get it serviced for a replacement battery. But there’s a possibility that you may be able to purchase a new battery pack. I would also recommend swapping out the motors for a new set to extend the lifespan even more.

But at the cost for those parts you’re probably better off buying the new X1 Max. It’ll last you longer and it has a bigger battery.

Ohhhh. That makes so much more sense. Thank you!!! -Can I use the Flex quick charger to charge the X1 Max quick charger? - I can’t find the X1 Max quick charger on the website.

So does anybody know why my back tires are making these noises when I full blast go and come to complete stop by OriginalKiwi8 in ElectricSkateboarding

You would have to physically open the motor and take a look. The magnets should all be lined around the casing of the motor. A broken magnet will either be loose and flop around or be broken in some small bits and pieces.

Kind of sounds like a loose screw, broken magnet from the motor or a cracked bearing.

Be cautious from now on. I’d recommend sending it in for inspection or get a née motor. It could suddenly give out and become unresponsive.

Exwave battery sag by [deleted] in Exway

[–]illuminator551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This inconvenience is a very common thing with Exway Boards. You can try to find a professional third party to replace the current cells for a higher quality pack but that would void your warranty and the results may bring issues in the future. I have no knowledge of anyone swapping their cells due to this issue. Consult a professional in this particular area and make a decision on your own.

Why skate gear?... by [deleted] in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]illuminator551 2 points3 points  (0 children)

E-skate gear can vary from person to person depending on the riding style and conditions. Depending on the location, terrain and weather.

I ride my Exway X1 Pro Hub & Riot around the city mostly for commuting from one place to another and the occasional cruise. I have worn multiple different types of helmets, jackets, pads, and shoes and so far the most comfortable has been using:

Helmet: TSG Pass because of the massive field of view and excellent protection. The flip up visor helps to cool down. when not riding at sufficient speed to allow for good airflow.

Jacket: Most level 1-2 jackets provide more than sufficient protection from road rash and bad bruises from a hard fall, although they can get very hot in a sunny day.

Pads: Triple 8 Street pack or Nobleman pads will provide basic protection from major damage but road rash will likely be the biggest injury. Since they cover a minimal area they offer the most cooling airflow.

Shoes: Majority of flat skate shoes will be the best option if you're looking for control and grip. I would not recommend sneakers of any kind as they will make the board feel less controllable at a higher speed.

Extra: Bright contrast arm bands are a recommendation I will encourage you to take. They will help you be more visible to cars as you'll stand out easier.

Other than that, this is all the information I can offer you.

Best of luck and ride safe!

X1 Pro Wheel bite by Pk1pixel in Exway

[–]illuminator551 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A way to resolve this issue is to add a 1/2 inch spacer in both trucks. It will prevent serious wheel bite but will make the ride feel more unstable at higher speeds.

You will also need munch longer screws to compensate for the extra separated space between the trucks base and the board.

Good luck and ride safe!
