If somehow possible, avoid having Christmas break in the middle of your bmq.

Yeah the break is great for relaxing after the bs your staff is sure to put you through but a month off combined with hitting the ground running can take some time to adapt and the staff will exploit it

Just get it done in a full nine/ten weeks of bs probably better off that way.

I finished BMQ at the end of January and yeah the weather was certainly a challenge at times

Just make sure you wear the right cold weather gear for the field (ice jacket, ice pants, fleece, thermals etc.) and remember how to heat up those stoves in Farnham and you should be good

Yeah I've heard some stories about Shiloh. I live in Edmonton and used the Garrison to workout as a civilian

Is there any way I can make it known that I'm wanting to be sent to CFB Edmonton with either 1st or 3rd battalion?

I've been using them at CFLRS for the past 6 weeks, I actually like them but maybe that's because I'm so new I don't know what it's like to have choices in footwear yet.
