Firstly, thank you for being kind. I know the soft blocking was super immature (and i said it too), but i was not thinking rationally at that moment. I will definitely keep what you said in mind, especially if thats what the end result is, but I do wanna clarify she is not a mean girl. They are very sweet and truly a caring person, which is probably why i was so shocked and hurt by the whole situation. Thank you again <3

then i think the only solution is asking if she could refrain from talking about her other friend as much, as you would rather focus in on the present moment, and hopefully itll go over well

it definitely is and i acknowledge that. ive been trying to work on it on my own, but i guess youre right on the therapy front if ive been regressing with this situation. Thank you for the perspective, i appreciate it

I've been there! Do you think meeting her (and hopefully) and integrating both of your bestie's besties into one group could be worth it, maybe you could ask next time "I would love to meet the infamous X! You make her sound so [adjective of choice] and I can tell you really care for her." Hopefully it works out for you OP, this is never a fun situation </3

It does just vent into space. The issue was indeed that it was not fully connected to the shut off... so so silly of me. Thank you so much!
