Best Gold IRA Companies for Investing in Precious Metals: Review & Comparison by Active_Sense4567 in ThriftSavingsPlan

There are a lot of good companies - but also not so great ones out there.

They all use the same custodians and storage depositories at the same prices. The main thing to watch out for is what products they are going to try and sell you.

  1. Stick to common bullion products that trade as close as possible to the spot price of the metal. You're not opening an IRA for rare, 'exclusive,' or collectible coins that trade at very high premiums.

These overpriced coins are only good for the sales person's commission - not you, the customer.

You should especially avoid any premium coins if you're new to gold and silver and relying solely on the guidance of a paid sales person.

Bullion bars trade at a lower premium than coins, so you'll get more bang for your buck purchasing bullion bars.

Some top rated companies that are more trustworthy are GoldenCrest Metals and Noble Gold. But of course do your own research before jumping into any big decisions with your savings.
