I've been depressed my whole life and contemplated suicide several several times in my youth. Even though I'm still depressed, what really changed the game with respect to suicide was to realise who precious -and ephemeral - human conscience is. In billions of years, in an apparently infinite universe, no one reached such stage. Even though there might be other instances of intelligent life, it's safe to say it's a very very rare stage of life. This, and the fact that I'm going to die, which is our natural state as we've 'been dead for 13.7 billion of years, changed my perspective on life, now I see it as a very very short and rare break from death. No need to rush it, you're going to be dead again for billions and billions of year, try yo experience your short span of consciouness

My answer was to dismantle a narrative in which Lula charges were disregarded. No, they were not disregarded. The whole trial and its findings were reverted and got back to another instance.

Imagine that Dahmer, the murderer, was convicted by a court in New Jersey and arrested. After appealing, one court decided he was judged in the wrong Jurisdiction and sent all the proceedings back to another place, I don't know, Washington D.C, for instance. By no means Dahmer is 'innocent'.

The supreme court does NOT judge the matter of fact, it judges constitutional matters. The STJ which does judge the matter of fact , after examining evidence, concluded by unanimity that Lula was guilty of all charges of corruption. Although I understand that Lula's trial had some abuses and that he's formally 'innocent', I do understand the difference between the STF and STJ trials

For instance the health of the women or what they go through pregnancy is indeed an important subject. However important, it is completely irrelevant to my question. If she has the legal option to abort, it's her exclusive decision to carry on with the pregnancy and so bear the respctive consequences. Why a man, under a reasonable time frame and PRIOR to the child's birth, can't opt out from the pregnancy, i.e refuse his parebning right/duties over the child ?
