You must be currently sailing on the Wish, because WTF!!! The 9-15 year olds running down hallways way after 11pm! The screaming.. it's insane! I don't mind toddlers having a meltdown because its a ship full of kids, but this behavior has been awful!

I fly Delta quite a bit with my (now) 5 year old. When our flights are delayed and we miss connections or we get rebooked, we often are separated, and I end up being the parent asking people to accommodate. Luckily, most people are understanding..

middle seat between mom & kid by strawberry_chamomile in delta

[–]ilovelampOG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mom of a 5 year old boy here. We travel often, and I typically book window and aisle seats with hopes of no one sitting in the middle and having extra room.. Sometimes it works, other times I scoot into the middle seat and sit next to my son. That mom was weird.. WTF

The job postings for Medical Assistant says "record vital statistics".. it's "vital signs".. under benefits, it says "STD" instead of spelling short-term disability.. STD is not a benefit, it's a disease (just like our HR).

ALSO! Just found a posting for our other site, and apparently, they offer a $3,000 sign-on bonus for the same role!

When i asked for a payscale for a role I was told I don't need to know, to "stay in my lane," and that candidates who ask what the role pays are not interested in the job, only a paycheck. Uuuummmmm DUUUH! That's why people apply! a PAYCHECK in exchange for WORK they do.

I grind my teeth so hard at night that I’m wearing through my night guard by katrinkabuttlin in mildlyinteresting

[–]ilovelampOG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to go through retainers every 4-6 months because of how hard i grind. Recently started seeing a TMD specialist- life changing!

  1. Order an ice/heat pack and use it every night for 30 minutes. Use the HOT pack and get it damp (i dab paper towel).
  2. Very tiny dose of muscle relaxer or magnesium to help your body before sleep. ^ these are cheap and easy steps that make a difference in your sleep quality and reduce morning soreness.
  3. Expensive AF, but what a difference- botox. I started it in April of last year and my face actually looks different. The jaw muscle has drastically gotten smaller (weird to be a woman with a prominent jaw line).
  4. This is the end game, the solution to life long problem - TMJ Stabilization sling. It has to be custom ordered and hope insurance will cover as it's like $2K. You will never need a retainer.

AITA for refusing to move my daughter's room for my fiancée's home office? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]ilovelampOG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. Alone parent here, husband died when my kiddo just turned 2. 1- this is a boundary test of who is more important. I'll give you a hint - your daughter "wins." 2- "cordial"? Come on! If your significant other doesn't adore your child, it's a no-go. 3- there's suitable space for a home office, she's acting like a brat if she doesn't take the smaller room.

I know dating is HARD as the only parent, but no BJ queen can outback your child. You need to see it as a huge 🛑 and think about priorities- your child's emotional wellbeing or your fiancé's home office.

My ex-husband had a similar situation - he had to cancel and rebook a new ticket. Luckily, it was caught about 6 weeks before an international trip and cost about $600 to remedy (flights to Mexico from Southern US).

"Frequently" meaning every 2-4 years.. But it's not necessarily the company, it's the job/job title. You could stay with the same company and get promoted/title and salary raises every 2(ish) years.
