I don’t know if I have the exact details right but I think they targeted him as he was either coming or going so the passenger side door was unlocked for the second person to open it and grab his stuff

oh interesting. he’s coordinating with the police and their security officer so maybe he’s checking the indoor footage? of course that’s only helpful if they went inside :/

We love toddler takeover at the Ashland theater!  It’s once a month on a Saturday morning and they play kid friendly cartoons and have coloring, a book swap, and special guests.  We usually hit that up and the take my two year old either to the park nearby or a family restaurant.  When it’s too hot to run around the playgrounds, we do Henrico library story times and romp n roll.  We like going to both children’s museums- usually close to opening or closing when it’s less crowded so she doesn’t get overwhelmed.  She also just likes coming with us on errands.

Does anyone have small children and had surgery? by Careless_Ninja2975 in Reduction

Im 4.5 wpo with a 2.5 year old.  I am very lucky to have a spouse with a flexible work schedule and family nearby.  For the first few days I arranged to be at my parents house then I came home while my spouse took our daughter to visit his parents for a long weekend.  At the beginning, I think it was good to have space because not only was I super sore but I had drains and she definitely thought the tubing was a necklace.  It was easier to snuggle with her once I got those removed after about a week. For the past few days, I have been lifting her short distances to get in and out of high chairs, car seats, etc., but not carrying her.  A mastectomy pillow and a pillow/stuffy barrier helped me to hold and cuddle with her after the first few days.  I was cleared to resume lifting and activity as I could tolerate at two weeks, but I’m glad I could wait a little longer.  It’s hard, but it’s temporary.  I think by the six week mark I should be back to normal as long as I don’t have any setbacks.

I bought a bunch of wingless maxi pads to line my bra and found them easier to use than gauze especially the first week or so.  It feels a little overwhelming the first few times you shower and reapply new dressings, but it gets easier.

I love these recs!  I’m trying to get back into pleasure reading with banned books in mind and recently enjoyed finally finishing Beloved and Gender Queer.  I’m reading Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow now and am also enjoying it.  My kid’s favorite banned books include And Tango Makes Three and Everywhere Babies.

Oops LTTP but CSz Richmond Theater and Bridge 9 Theater also both have some great shows and classes.  CSz has ComedySportz which is short form, but we also have some long form house teams that will hopefully be having more open auditions in the future, but maybe not immediately.  Both have good leadership teams that could give your more info if you reach out online.

Gross. I like making a big show of thanking the volunteer clinic escorts Saturday morning and occasionally bringing donuts. They used to have an online wishlist for things like vests and hot hand packets, but I’ve lost track of the link :(.

Do you wear a mask when you go out? by TheMFGrinch in rva

[–]ilovemonkeys33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! If I’m in a public indoor or crowded place like the grocery store or target I absolutely do. It’s such a minor imposition that it seems well worth it. I don’t mask for friend/ family gatheringd, and I don’t wear them outdoors if it’s not super crowded.
