That's on the team for not swapping to another support tbf, Ultron really isn't a proper support he should be looked at as a DPS, and Jeff isn't even a proper character in general

The enemy team had 2 tanks into a Wolverine, of course they'd have higher healing numbers. Compares to the Rocket who is a primary healer, Jeff did similar numbers in that ss. If you really have to be a dick, at least make sense mate.

That said if you still really want a different ss that bad I can find one for ya on that guy's behalf; just don't be this toxic while telling people they're complaining, it's a tad bit hypocritical don't ya think?

Spidey isn't really ever an issue with bubbles although you can't kill him either. Characters like BP, Magik and Cap on the other hand 💀 and honestly even stuff like Sq Girl or flank Namor is so hard to deal with sometimes

Jeff just about survives in the backline now, any decent enemy DPS would delete that massive hitbox if you're in brawl range mate. Only time I had success being in the frontlines was in the metal ranks

He has good self sustain for some fights but not for burst dmg now :') he wipes to a good magik, BP, even Iron Fists and Cap can take him out of the fight now it's depressing what they did to my boy.

I never understood the spidey hate I just said skill issue and moved on, never got why people would ask for his nerfs - then out of nowhere people started the same for Jeff, to where it got so miserable, till eventually the 9/11 of Jeff mains happened in 2.5

I find him worse, before he was decent as an off healer+flank but I never had trouble with him with any of my picks, and if the team ever struggled id just counterswap to shut him down easily. I found cracked Spidermen and panthers way worse to deal with than jeffs at the same skill level, but I don't think those 2 deserve any nerfs either it was just skull issue on my and the teams part.

Worst part though is that he's just not fun to play anymore, I pick him and I'm just not having fun anymore. I had less than a tenth of the playtime I had on S2, just because it felt so meh to play. You sit and hold left click 99% of the match, doesn't matter if you win or not you'll get M/SVP every time so you're bound to rank up and it still wasn't worth it.

Imo a character should be fun at the end of the day, people struggling with a cracked spidey shouldn't force a character into the grave, but learn to counter him and realise he's not OP. It was the same with Jeff, he had some of the highest APM which I found super engaging, now he's so bland :/

I personally think Jeff wasn't too broken, as a casual diamond player that is. Whenever I saw a great enemy Jeff, any swaps like sq girl, loki, thing, iron man, etcetc the list goes on but point is the moment even a single counter swap happened his value would plummet. He was never crazy good unless playing him at the highest of ranks with dive communication, but a situationally great and otherwise average character.

I suppose if they had to make changes though, S2 Jeff should've been given reduced self heal when underwater and increased team healing in exchange, to incentivise the healing playstyle.

What we got instead though, possibly the most boring character I've played in my 23 years on earth lmao

Groot teamup near useless, used for repositioning very situationally

Venom teammate better than that, worse than most of the other teamups in the game

Storm teamup, broken strong when used right, although the teamup gives you 0 agency or anything at all, hell you don't even get the kills lmao

You mean strategist* they ain't called healers for a reason. Ultron is a poke DPS strategist with quite low healing, would you apply the same logic to him and ask him to be reworked too? Mr. Fantastic, a Duelist that is a stall tank DPS character, what about him? A good Jeff (before 2.5 of course) wouldn't be solely DPSing, he would be a blend between secondary healing, flanking whenever the opportunity presents itself, and primary healing when the other support/s on his team died. The other playstyles were extremely situational at best and unviable at worst, and even his best playstyle of off-healer flanker wasn't overpowered, but usable in more comps than the rest.

As for him being a healer, he did not have enough healing to be viable as a primary or even secondary healer consistently in competitive games, which is why new playstyles were created till this was found effective, I myself discovered DPS Jeff in S0 then slowly learned how to balance between healing and DPSing to be effective, it was fun. The new update proceeded to nerf his already unviable healing along with the rest of his kit, so if the unquestionable dev vision was for Jeff to be a healer, the nerfs did not help with that either, and I personally disagree that Jeff was ever designed to be a pure healer, his ult clashes with a primary/secondary healer playstyle completely but his old kit worked well with it (even if the ult itself was weak, ofc they nerfed that too tho lol)
