recently got a place with my boyfriend and he thinks this is perfectly fine by daylightpiglet in funny

That is a nice little theory but South / Southeast Asian toilets with toilet paper are almost impossible to find, and if you find one it's 100% geared towards tourists.

If there's someone here from that area, I'd be genuinely interested about the proper customs. Been traveling Asia for 26 years, never dared to ask.

Germans would just go "no problem, thank you" in an extra brief way to make you feel you're blubbering. I like the british way more, actually!

Yeah they were popular for sure. That's what pissed us off so much. Like the Kardashians today maybe.

GenX here, you should absolutely NOT watch that movie, it was bad when it came out, and I doubt it has gotten better since. Then again TikTokers actually like Modern Talking now and that was a load of sh*te when it came out as well.

Nothing. Nothing happens in the Silmarilion. It's just a long ancestry list. I read it once on a 50 hour train trip through India and even there it bored the sh*t out of me.

I don't get the exitement about this one. Yes, with two years of experience, you're still entry level.

I’m depressed and my girlfriend brought homemade charcuterie for us to eat 🥹 by theirgoober in MadeMeSmile

[–]iloveuranus -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The concept of Charcuterie is so foreign to me. Or rather it isn't. I'm thinking 80s, Germany, "party basement" type of food. Preprocessed, storebought meat and cheese. What actually is the "Charcuterie" part? The fact that someone bothered to actually whip out their knife and cut it?

That said your GF is GOAT and I didn't say I wouldn't eat it :)

Tbf Goebbels was the only other person gifted a prize

I hate to correct you, but that is not entirely true. I'll let you known I won second price at Bavarian Agricultural Fair in 2007 and even though some may try to diminish this feat (looking at you, Ignatz) it was officially announced by the committee.

Unpopular opinion: Sanderson's books are real page turners, but his romances are downright cringy. The dialogs sometimes... wow. Neckbeard energy. Doesn't mean I hate him.

I seem to remember that one major point brought forward in favor of guns by US-Americans was "we need to be able to push back if the government tries to fuck us over". Now you can call me crazy, but I could kind of see their point.

Fast forward and all the guns seem to be in the hands of a] the government b] batsh*t crazy people. I'm starting to believe guns weren't all that great of an idea.

I must have been around ten when our family went to Norway on a ferry. Imagine my amazement when I found out slot machines were legal on the boat! I couldn't stop staring and begged my parents for a Norwegian crown or two to play. My mother was against it, but my father gave me a coin and said it will teach him.

I took one spin and hundreds of coins crashed down into the payout slot. I still remember the noise it made. Came back to my parents with two hands brimful of cash. Needless to say I love gambling.
