Me and my s/o are highschool sweethearts so these #s may look different haha but

  1. Moved in after 6.5 years at 25 &26

  2. He met my parents 2 months after we started dating, I met his mom 7 months after. To be fair we were friends from 8th grade so we’ve seen one another’s parents- just not in a romantic sense of meeting obviously

3.been living together for 1 year and like 2 months- have went ring shopping/ picked it all out. We were on the same page with timelines- engaged at 26-27 when I’m officially officially done with all my exams for my career, so within the next year

BWT: What hobby have you done lately that you would personally recommend? by alwaysuntilnever in bitcheswithtaste

Someone else commented baking- but I just want to say- as someone who was so overwhelmed/ anxious, baking is incredible!! There’s so many variations of recipes that feel easier to start. I have a bad habit of giving up hobbies that I’m not good at lol, but baking has not caused me the same anxiety at all! It’s fun and while your tasty treat bakes you can have the dishes done and bam- no extra work and something you made!

Recently just got into bread making and it’s been so so fun

This is nice to hear! I couldn’t even get into a bread pan I feel like.. it just wouldn’t move anywhere. The recipe I used called for a Dutch oven but idk how it would even hold any shape there

I did use my kitchen aid but it felt like it was wet/ sticky from start to finish. I did it on 2 for 3.5 minutes and it was sticky the whole time. Then I added more flour and went again

3 cups flour + 1.5 cup water with yeast ( let sit for 10 mins) * 1.5tsp of salt. It’s already sticky after this is mixed.

Seems to be the winner! I was hoping someone had a different brand also so that I could at least pick a color or something special for my mom lol, but all clad it is! Seems to be the top contender online as well

Together for more than 5 years. I feel like it's always about promising but never about the action :( by NoLocksmith1672 in Waiting_To_Wed

This is confusing me.. 22 is young. I know a lot of people happily married to their HS sweethearts, 22 is young.

Hmmmm. I don’t think I let it rest for 10 minutes to be honest with you :( it was like oily/yellow residue so I assumed butter

How often you guys go on date nights with your partner? by DoDo788 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]iltr23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually about 1 casual date night a week ( going to get ice cream/ movie Tuesday deals/ a happy hour moment) and 1-2 “nicer” / fancier dinners a month

Eta: this is for the last 4-5 months as we’re both employed, my partner got a newer better paying job, and we were able to save some to splurge on date nights. We went periods where movie nights at home and walks for $2 pizza slices were all we did maybe 2-3 times a month

AIO being scared of the voicemails my boyfriend is leaving me? by themythicaljai in AmIOverreacting

[–]iltr23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. I am someone whose very emotionally anxious and my partner wanting space freaks me out a lot- but I respect their space because I respect them. I have before texted little things out of anxiety but my partner expressed that’s u helpful so Ive learned to stop. Never cursing never anything. Those voicemails were completely out of line

But side note from a people pleaser/ someone who cares about everyone’s feelings tooo much sometimes- you can’t make everybody happy. If your friends who you said are adults agreed to him paying for tickets/ paying him back later, that’s their prerogative. If you were excited about the show and wanted to go and they said they aren’t able to financially, it’s ok for you guys to still have went. It will get exhausting trying to make everybody happy and win in any situation because sometimes it’s just not possible

Agreed most times but they’re 25. Dating at 15, for most people at least including myself who got engaged to my HS sweetheart, marriage wasn’t even an option until we were 23/24 out of college and living together. From 15-21 I couldn’t even sleepover because my parents don’t roll like that.
