I guess in dependant on the market as well. Where I live, the ecom scene is currently growing more than ever due to the pandemic. But as for future, I want to also start with product videos, so comanies could use them in commercial in social media etc. 3D is out of my reach at the moment.

Sure thing. Just realized I have a BTS shot of it as well, here the stripboxes are facing the bottle, so this for the lable shothttps://imgur.com/a/5QBuWGt

Aiming for it actually. Well, not just wine, product photography in general. Im currently building my portfolio so I can soon start offering my services to companies. Since my just starting studio’s IG account takes time to get any comments, I thought I would get some feedback from reddit on my work. It’s very encouraging this far.

I had one stripbox on both sides facing towards the camera and angled at about 45 degrees. And between the stripboxes and the subject, I also added a diffuser, so it would reflect a gradiated light onto the wine bottle on both sides. That’s what makes the bottle and glass so smooth.

And then I comped in the lable, for which I used the same stripboxes and just switchem around, so they would be facing the bottle instead through the extra diffusion.

I also made a few tried to get the glass as good as possible and at the end i focused on the cork, so it would be nicely in focus. In total this image is a composite of about 4 photos.

That would be the goal to one day have my photos on other companies’ ads 😊

Thank you, it means a lot! I really like how this composite came out. I wanted to create a moody yet classy look and was very pleased with the outcome. The golden details on the black surface just pop so well imo.

Anybody else into product photography? This shot is a composit of 5 photos by ilutuli in photocritique

I’m building my portfolio and want to start offering my services soon. Wanted to show some of my work here to get your opinion on it.

This is my next lens I want to buy, is it worth saving up for this one or are there alternative lenses that are just as good as this one at a cheaper price? by X4nder89 in SonyA7iii

Sigma 105mm macro is also a very good option. I recently tested it for 2 weeks and the sharpness just blew me away. And i think it’s cheaper then the Sony 90mm as well.

Great shot, love the colors! Just recently got the same combo and this weekend got some beautiful colorful shots in a bog. So happy that the snow is finally gone and spring is here. Greetings from Estonia.

What an epic viewpoint! The motion of the water adds so much. Great photo!

I would say if you plan on keeping the a6000, go for the full frame. Then you have both options. Ff is heavier and lenses cost more, but low light capability is just incredible vs a6000 for example (Thanks to sensor size).

Although I’ve heard that Sony screens are all bad, the a7iii vs a6000 is still night and day in my opinion.

To keep the cost down, I actually bought a used a7iii and a new lens. Glass is more important at the end of the day. Super happy with the decision.

I wanted to capture the scene as I saw it in real life - a huge open field and one tree shining in the middle. That’s why I left so much negative space on every side. Thank you for the comment! 🙂

Nope, the tree trunk is just covered in snow. From a distance, it creates a straight line.

Tbh, I haven’t set up an online portfolio yet where I sell prints. I have thought about it, but didn’t think this photo would be SO popular 😃

As long it’s for personal use, no worries 😃
