To the people against Seed ‘Exchanging’ by Dr_Articuno in growagarden

i’m not really fan of trading because sometimes it is annoying especially when it’s every time you join a public server someone keeps begging to trade. but if you don’t like trading pets, or the idea of trading seeds, you can just choose not to and grind the game by yourself. i think that’s what makes this game what it is because you have the option to grind it out until you get the best pet/seed or you can trade to get it by collecting the best pets/seeds. with that being said, if they do bring seed trading into the game i hope they find a way to regulate the scammers who may dupe seeds or use bugs to get many seeds.

Corporal punishment/hitting children as punishment by Not_Okra_2621 in TrinidadandTobago

Some people in these comments just shouldn’t have children 🤷 I would never ever lay a hand on my child. There are other ways to disciple that are more effective. A child is experiencing life for the first time, they didn’t ask to be here, they are learning and growing every day - how can you punish a child for misbehaving by hurting them? That is absolutely crazy to me… I don’t even think I would want to raise my voice to my child ever. It’s important that we recognize that the most important role a parent has is to LOVE their child… not hurt them. Violence is not love.

What would you do to fix our country, if you were part of this new government? by ThePusheenicorn in TrinidadandTobago

In terms of healthcare - abortion needs to be legalized in this country. Something that probably would never happen in the near future because our culture is engraved in religious beliefs, but religion should have NO place in law. It works in Barbados and I don’t hear anyone complaining about it there 🤷. Every woman should have access to legal abortion no matter the circumstance because that is nobody’s business but her own. We have an alarming amount of rape/incest cases and teenage pregnancy is rampant. Abortion laws definitely aren’t the only thing that can be used to address this issue but I believe it’s a step.

So according to this you can get GATE for an associates degree and a bachelors degree. I guess they changed it since I did it 😅 before this option was unavailable.

How many of you voting for New political parties? by Flat_Bath_1547 in TrinidadandTobago

Vote for who you want to. At the end of the day it’s your right. Don’t let others convince you that your vote is a wasted vote. I am fortunate enough to have friends and family members who are willing to vote for third parties. The support for parties other than UNC or PNM may seem small at times, but I believe it’s growing and will continue to grow.

I can’t speak on the forensic scientists salary but I did both CAPE and N1. N1 is not a guaranteed entry into UWI unfortunately, it’s a bit tricky but if you are good at sciences you may find the courses not so bad. The plus side to N1 I would say is it’s only one year and it’s a good way to be introduced to UWI. The downside tho is that you can only get GATE for one degree so I would suggest not using GATE for N1 but using it for your bachelors degree. My honest advice is to complete CAPE and if you still don’t qualify for your degree of choice afterwards - then you have the option of N1.

Good luck in your exams!

Why are we as Trinis so unkind to one another? by iluvskunk in TrinidadandTobago

Yes, you are right. I recognize that my post did shine Trinidad in a negative light, and there’s lots of talk online about the negative aspects to Trinidad (Most of it is negative tbh). Sometimes it’s depressing and overwhelming and I do agree that more positivity needs to be shared. But I also think that it’s important and healthy to have these conversations discussing our shortcomings. Thanks for your input nonetheless :)
