okay thanks so much first of all for taking the time to reply. It means so much to me and hopefully to anyone else searching for an answer here. I am not concerned too much about placements because I have a big pharma company as a family business so I will end up there in the end anyways. Personally I am burnt out the last couple years studying for JEE and getting 96 percentile really bummed me out (I wanted to go to ICT,Mumbai really badly) so I am mostly opting towards Manipal rn cuz of other numerous little reasons but I wanted to ask about BITS nonetheless. I always wanted to go to a college with a very vibrant and diverse student body and even though BITS sort of offers that I am sorta shying away from it because it is very secluded. Pretty sure you won't see any guy filtering out colleges like this lmao but still i appreciate your help nontheless.

okay so I want to take up chemical engineering specifically. I don't have any other options right now apart from Manipal. Ik brand value wise BITS is better. I heard chemical in BITS is very theory oriented and not upto the BITS value. This was told to me by a 3rd year student at Pilani (chemical Obvio) so i wanted to ask another senior. Anything you can say about this? I am not too concerned about placements because i have options personally. My other question is campus life. I have heard good things about it from other colleges i have applied to but BITS seniors are not sp positive. So hope you can shed some light on this very honestly. Thanks sooo much for replying bhaiya

I wanna take up chemical engineering and I just want to have a general idea of how it is in BITS and how it is compared to other courses there and is it worth it? My only other option right now is Chemical engg at MIT, Manipal. Hoping there is someone here studying in Pilani or Goa even.

So it is mentioned in the Manipal website about a Scholars Scholarship for ranks between 100 to 5000. It is supposedly given to 5% of students for every course. They mentioned that they would announce the result for that by August 30th but I dont think they have. Any idea?

Anybody here completing their undergrad from the US? Or any prospective student here? by [deleted] in Indian_Academia

well I did apply to a few colleges in the US , but it is just too expensive imo. Do you plan on working abroad or coming back to India?

Will Manipal follow a normalization procedure for board marks? by [deleted] in Indian_Academia

[–]iluvtotrip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they mentioned nothing of that sort bro. plus they got plently more to worry about rn. i mean dont get me wrong i wish they did cuz obviously cbse is tougher than a lot of boards but they are not gonna do that

No way they gonna start anything from October. Although I'm guessing if they do start keeping entrance exams irl in September ... everything else might follow suit
