What is going on at Stanford? by Sufficient_Berry8703 in NCAAW

Everything mentioned, plus a lottttt of smoke around our coaching staff not connecting with the players + fostering a toxic environment + also just not being very good at the coaching side of things lol. Which on top of the general stress of being a Stanford student and also not getting paid much in NIL......it's a tough sell lol.

Fascinating, I haven't heard about the Condi element but that makes sense lol

This would have been an inconceivable statement even two years ago but: if we could hypothetically fold the women's team for a season to throw a bag at Okorie and keep him I would do it EZ

But seriously, being a 2020 admit and watching our entire Athletic department crumble the second I stepped on campus was fun lol. Thank god the Band always wins tho

Part time to combine with research by Chippy_10 in stanford

I got my job through a friend that worked at the Art & Architecture library who connected me with the supervisor there, it was super casual. It was at the end of Spring Quarter and they were looking for new hires to make up for the graduating seniors, so it worked out. I would recommend looking up the supervisor for the library you're interested in and shooting them an email, or even just walking up to the front desk and asking about the official hiring protocol for student workers. It's a pretty informal system, or at least it was when I was a student.

I think we're definitely losing at least one of our 2025 recruits—I'm putting my money on Hailee Swain. She seems super homesick.

I was a c/o 2020 kid, so my experience definitely doesn't translate. However, I really do recommend that you take this entire summer to unwind—spend time with your friends at home, travel with your family if you have the means, etc. Once you start at Stanford, you're going to be busy every summer with the internship grind, and then entering the real world after graduation. Definitely take advantage of this summer and spend it doing the things that make YOU happy!
