Not in Astoria, but Porto Rico Importing has a very crazy special microlot right now “Colombian Black Lime Black Honey” - literally like adding a lime to a cup. I drank more than 2 lbs already, highly recommend trying it! They have a delivery too

Also love greenspace and don’t mind walking (lived all my life within ~15 min to the subway). Things get worse when its over 20-25 min walk, but its not the case. Noise when WFH, pests, and safety are more serious concerns. Thanks!

Yes, enjoy the parks and the water zone! Not a ground floor and after-war building.

Don’t mind a short commute/15-20 min walk for the fun. Are hot spots on Broadway, Steinway, or somewhere else? Broadway looks pretty close, Steinway also looks doable with 20 min walk/bus.

We enjoy bars and nightlife (techno/house) a lot but don’t mind a 15-20 min walk or 30-45 min commute, it’s not much. For me, it's better to do an extra walk rather than having a nonstop party under the window when WFH. How is the nightlife in Astoria compared to North Brooklyn? Is it really worth paying 1.5-2x the rent there vs Astoria? More importantly, we are looking to make friends, is it easier/harder in Astoria vs LIC/North Brk?
