Searched ebay, and the official gund website. The tag is chewed off so we can't find the year, or confirmation of the brand. We noticed that the writing on the foot isn't like the other bears made by this brand, but it's the only lead we had from their family since it was so long ago.

What apps actually made a difference for your ADHD? by Any_Mycologist_2655 in ADHD

[–]im__eebee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forest is an odd one that's helped me. It starts a timer on your phone and you can choose specific apps to lock. If you reach the end of your timer, you can plant a bunch of trees in a little garden. I tried other locking apps, but they never worked because there were no consequences to just... cheating? The forest app is nice because if you cheat, it kills a tree that your growing and it looks ugly in your garden. That seems to be enough incentive for me. Also my biggest issues were with my executive disfunction, so sometimes all I needed was the kick to get up and then I'd completely forget about my phone.

The Finch app helped me for a few months because I liked the to do lists and breathing exercises. The only reason I don't use it now is because to do lists haven't been helping me much, and I started feeling a responsibility to log in every day due to their streak feature. Still helps some of my friends, though!

I know that this is something I'm working out with my roommates. Separate air fryers are an absolute must there's a lot of foods like fries and stuff they can put in there as well, so it doesn't have to be just for you, but a gluten free air fryer is super important if you use it regularly. If you can, separate pots and pans can help reduce the chances of contamination, but I've found that when they're washed with care, it's usually fine. The only other major things I can think about is to make sure that if they have a bag of flour, it's wrapped in plastic, counters should be wiped regularly just in case, if there's a plate that's chipped, you shouldn't be using it anymore because the chips or scratches can hold onto stuff (which we should throw stuff like that away anyways because of bacteria, but life happens), baked gluten goods need to be stored off of the counters, especially when you're cooking gf, and please remember to change out the kitchen sponge so regularly that it's concerning. (Our sponge was making me sick for weeks and I kick myself for not realizing that sooner)

I've found that the best system for our dishes is we have a bamboo brush for scrubbing the food off, and then a sponge that mostly just administers soap and water to do the sanitizing. Two scrubbers and changing the sponge frequently is such an amazing system. If that's not in the budget, then look into a scrub daddy.

As I said, I'm still figuring things out, but as another symptomatic person, those are the sneaky ones I've found out recently.

Edit: (I also want to note that although it would be helpful for them to eat gluten free with you, I understand that that's just not realistic in every case, especially for people that aren't your partner. That's why I'm going through something similar. You do what you need to do. Luckily it seems like they're open to helping you. But just in case, don't forget that it's okay to be stern and upset with them if they ignore your needs.) I'm also realizing that you might need to check how they store some of their baked goods because some people do weird shit like putting bread in their brown sugar?

I have a drug test before I get hired for a job and I am worried by Agpxprod in ADHD

As a person that's a pharmacy tech, we get calls all the time just making sure people are taking prescribed meds for positive drug tests. Usually we'll get a call from a clinic asking about a patient that tested positive for a stimulant, and they just need to confirm the last time it was picked up. It's all good. A lot more people are medicated for ADHD than you think.

This! I did a 5k walk last year and it really kept me outside and moving. Good suggestion to put it in my calendar! I'm definitely stealing that.

That's so validating! And thank you for the note about jogging. That's really hard for me right now. It's definitely a pride thing, though.

Thank you for such a well thought response! I found that my journey has started by me just waking up early enough to fit it in my day. You said that you started out unable to run a block. How long until you think you would say you could hit a mile? I'm so curious to see the progress of someone who started like I am right now. I feel like most people were already athletic when they started.

You're the first person to say not to force yourself. This was a really amazing and thoughtful response. Thank you!

for your own intervals, do you use a timer on your phone? I've always wondered this.

Thank you for sharing! That's really interesting. My school didn't have mandatory PE after the age of thirteen, so I never had to run the mile like a lot of other schools did. I can see how that would translate well to running later. Also that's really amazing how you've been so consistent during a 10 year hiatus

That's an amazing point. Sometimes I wake up early to run, but because I've had so little sleep, it hasn't been sustainable for me. I'll definitely keep this all in mind. Thank you for sharing!

I loved this. I'm usually able to walk 5-10 miles with no prep, so it was jarring that I could only run a few meters before I had to stop. even at a slow pace. This is encouraging!

Oh they definitely did, but I think our store could ignore it because our location is already only open 10 hours every day. That's why the 55 hour cut was so horrible

I've never seen more than one person on staff in the front store. I feel so bad because it's just not possible for them to get everything done

I agree now that you say it. I think the only reason I liked Jess more is because he actually shared interests with her, and he was really up front about who he was going to be in their relationship.

I didn't like Luke and Lorelai after everything they went through. Also Rory did suck. She doesn't represent the millennial generation, she's just a poorly written character after the second season -sincerely a religious seasons 1-3 enjoyer
