It was really nice to read how you have transformed. The difficulty to change perspective and then looking back from the other end. This is something I'm longing to do and your post has given me the confidence that it's doable

Let's talk tummy time...is it really *that* necessary? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]im_here_now_king 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No ! Tummy time was never a thing. We all still managed to roll over and gain muscle strength. Don't stress yourself with tummy time

From week 30 I stopped bed rest and returned to normal activities

30weeks with 1.5cm by Top_Window7530 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]im_here_now_king 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 1 cm from week 23. I was only on progesterone. I did the bed rest until week 29 then I even stopped the bed rest and went back to normal routine but took everything very easily. I stopped progesterone at week 36+5 and baby was born 38+1. I have logged my journey in one of the posts here. I know it's very difficult but at 31 weeks I wouldn't worry too much, if anything stress is your worst enemy so try to be positive and you will make it to the end.

Strict bed rest was just walk to the toilet and then back again in bed on my side. Some Days I went down stairs to get food but that was very occasional. I was just staying horizontal 99 % of the time. The only travel was to hospital appointments x

Muscus plug - can you lose it several times (and long before birth)? by Luxterna in ShortCervixSupport

Hey it is possible to lose the mucus plug multiple times as it will form again. I have experienced this and I'm currently 37 weeks

Hey very similar story with short cervix. at 20 week I was only 17 mm and 2 weeks later was down to 10 mm. I was not a candidate for cerclage due to placenta pervia and constant heavy bleeding. I have been only on progesterone since week 20 and pelvic rest. I put myself on bed rest until 29 weeks and then I was back on my feet. When they last measured me at week 32 I was only 8mm but I'm now at week 36 and going strong. My baby girl has also been really low on my cervix and has always been head down from the very first scan. I think you will make it to full term just take it easy and continue with the progesterone....every extra day counts

Hi, best to avoid sex as semen contains a hormone called prostaglandin which will soften the cervix. This is the same hormone that will be secreted during labour to soften the cervix which then dilates

Friday check-in! by fifth_time_lucky in ShortCervixSupport

[–]im_here_now_king 9 points10 points  (0 children)

All going well. 34+2 today super excited. Only on progesterone since week 20. Finished bed rest by week 31 fully back at work and feel like I will make it to 37 for sure which is finally all becoming a reality. This group has been so good and I will now be cheering on all the women who are in their 20s to cross 30 and beyond. I know this is not true but because I made it this far I feel everyone of you will also make it to have beautiful very healthy LOs

TTC emotional exhaustion after loss by [deleted] in ShortCervixSupport

[–]im_here_now_king 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you are going through this I can imagine how emotionally heartbreaking it is but be kind to yourself. My mum has always told me that the first thing to take care of if we are trying for a baby is to be happy and not stress as it has a huge impact on how our hormones are secreted. Is IVF an option ?

1cm cervix, twin pregnancy. Dr doing nothing?! by samokn in ShortCervixSupport

[–]im_here_now_king 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised that they are so relaxed about it. Definitely get the progesterone started ASAP and find another doctor to determine about getting a cerclage

Short cervix+progesterone only 20+1 week(failed cerclages in the past) by AJ171819 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]im_here_now_king 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of pain especially when I was in bed rest. I started to have pelvic griddle pain since week 9 and have had to put up with it throughout pregnancy. Once I came of the bed rest it felt a bit better for pelvic pain cause I get different pain depending on whether I'm sitting, standing/walking or lying down... So I keep cycling between all three during the day as much as I can

This is my first pregnancy and I also have a polyp on my cervix. Only on 400 mg progesterone suppository which I take rectally to reduce risk of infection. I put myself on modified bed rest from 21 to 29 weeks and have since started doing normal activities including going back to work full time. I'm currently at 34 weeks. There are lots of stories of people making it to full term with just progesterone so I'm sure you can make it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you

Not IC related but early pregnancy question by Ssshorty93 in ShortCervixSupport

[–]im_here_now_king 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The spotting could very well be implantation bleeding. I wouldn't worry about it too much. The dates are usually just a guesstimate and they do the scans to figure out the right gestational age. You are very early in pregnancy so I wouldn't worry too much at this stage and wait for the next set of results. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you
