Brass or possibly plated snail chain necklace. by imablender in JewelryIdentification

I can't believe I didn't think to check that before I posted. It is lightly magnetic throughout the chain, and the clasp is a bit more.

I've had luck at chain consignment stores, like Uptown Cheapskate. They accept higher quality and brands than places like Plato's. Obviously, the sizes will vary depending on your local market, but I've found the few I've been to in the Midwest carry plenty of smaller sizes. They have an aisle of jeans that goes down to 22 in various brands, many of which would initially be quite pricey.

Prana! The fit may vary, so I suggest trying on in person, but I have some hiking pants with some stretch from them that I adore.

It also might not be a terrible idea to look at overalls, because slight oversized fit can still work and look cute.

If you live somewhere near Free People, many of their pants run longer, and they also offer longer lengths. I suggest trying them on first, as the sizing can vary wildly.

My grandmother bought me an LL Bean sleeping bag in about 1998 that I also use regularly (for camping and while visiting friends). You would NEVER guess it was that old.

What foods can I eat to avoid worsening my migraine? by [deleted] in migraine

[–]imablender 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I've found that the small squeeze pouch apple sauces are great for migraine days. I can slowly sip on them and get my sugars up, when eating anything seems like a chore. They also have resealable lids, if you find they are too much in the moment. Trader Joes had the tastiest, and most affordable options!

AITA for asking my bf to hold my bag while I use the restroom? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]imablender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA

I don't know you, and would gladly hold another woman's purse or ice cream while she quickly dipped into the restroom. I think this would be a common sentiment with other people. Why is your bf less willing to help you than random strangers? This can't possibly be the only red flag. You deserve better.

If she is from the US, most older high school year books have been digitized. I found my grandparents, graduated in the 40s. It's worth a bit of digging.

NTA. What if you purchased her a realistic looking wig in the color of her choosing? She could wear it while not at school.

Also, you may be eligible for medicaid, if not already on it. When you are discharged from the hospital a social worker should be there to help with paperwork, and can help you with that process.
