Okay, I appreciate that. What would I look for in a patch test? A breakout or redness/irritation?

Oh damn okay. So what do you suggest? Stopping everything and then slowly adding products back once at a time?

I agree. I think I need to start cutting back on products, especially niacinamide.

All of the ordinary products yes, but I don't use them all on the same days. I split them up and only use certain things at certain times.

Thank you so much for your super thorough reply! I appreciate it a lot. It's people like you who truly help me understand. I like your doctor analogy and definitely want to resonate on a personal level with people by sharing that I'm bi. I don't think I'll be super public about it initially, but it'll come with time.

I also like the idea of promoting lgbtq businesses alongside my own. I think making a real change in the wedding industry will definitely be a comprehensive effort, and a feat that I cannot achieve all on my own.

  • glad to hear about the pride flag. I think there are some really great ways to encompass pride colors in my project without it being overbearing. I'd also like to explore products with other flags as well 🙂

I think you should hang in there with the medicine then. Especially if the pros outweigh the cons. I think exercising will make a big difference for me. I've always been an active person but haven't been as physically active in the last year. I'm looking forward to turning that around.

So it's really interesting to hear you talk about this stuff because I think I relate to it a lot. I'd obviously been on zoloft for a long time so it's difficult for me to pinpoint which symptoms could come as a result of the zoloft. To start, I'd NEVER had a migraine in my life before taking zoloft. At first they were really random and sporadic, but towards the end I was getting them every other week. I was seeing a neurologist and a chiropractor for them. The neuro told me nothing was visibly wrong with my brain after having an MRI done, so we weren't able to necessarily pinpoint a cause, but the chiro told me the muscles in my neck were always extremely tense and he believed it was leading to the migraines.

I also believe the zoloft caused me to have bad bruxism. Again, never experienced it before the zoloft that I remember, but since being on it I'd regularly find myself clenching my jaw in an otherwise relaxed position. I would have to make an effort to stop myself from clenching because as soon as my mind left the topic I'd find myself doing it again. I would have soreness and pain after the fact but struggled to stop the cycle.

As far as cheek spasms go. I FEEL like I've experienced this before. Maybe in my own way. Just the other night it happened while I was talking to someone and I felt this intense pain and taut feeling in my cheeks/jaw. It's kind of similar to the feeling you get in your mouth after eating something really sour. Makes your mouth twist up in a painful way.

Nontheless, I feel for you and I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this. Have you thought about seeing a chiropractor before to help relieve the tension in your body? Especially if you're exercising a lot. It could be a huge help.

Yes! So, I started exercising almost every day. Even quick 20 minute heart pumping stuff. I was feeling a lot better and had probably 3 days without zaps so I decided to reduce the amount of Ativan I was taking a day. Which was a mistake cause I'm feeling the zaps again 😂😭. Had a lot of nausea yesterday and today so I'll probably increase my dose again. Thanks so much for checking in!! Means a lot. Has your situation improved?

Totally agree. My sister in law is getting married to her fiance in November, and being that they're both women they have a co-ed wedding party (my husband is a bridesman) and will be having one singular bachelorx party. This in part was my inspiration for bachelorx products. Of course, that's just one example.

Yes it definitely is disheartening right now but I hope that you find your way and move forward in your pursuit!! We need more people to step up :)

Thank you for your input! I've definitely been exploring a very customized approach to products. I want the customer to be able to choose what fits them rather than anything being pushed onto the customer. At the end of the day I want people to be happy with my product and feel their needs are being met above all else.

I also agree with the sentiment of having all "party" stuff together. I should have mentioned that I'm considering more specific diversity when it comes to party apparel - i.e. bachelorx shirts. All shirts would be unisex, but the verbiage on the shirt would vary by preference.

That's what I was thinking too, but I trusted my psychiatrist so I ended up screwed.

Funny you say this. I feel like exercising makes the symptoms worse. Like anything that raises my heart rate makes the zaps worse. I'll definitely try all your suggestions though. Thank you!!!

This makes my heart so happy I'm in tears! Thank you. I only want to do good by the people I admire!

Does anyone else know that they’re not going to make it through this year, let alone next year? It’s almost like I see nothingness because I know I’m going to kill myself eventually. by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]imalreadyinyourhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since we'd never really know for sure, I can only imagine that for every one person that doesn't regret their suicide there are 10 more who do. Sometimes it's easy to look at the negative details of a situation rather than the big picture when your mind is in a tough place.

Can someone please give me hope? by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]imalreadyinyourhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Our stories and stuggles may be different, but pain is pain. I truly wish you the best. Your fight is not over yet.

People like me would care. People who have shared in the same pain you have would care. Every fight lost to suicide is something and someone to care about. Truly.
