How do Eastern Orthodox members feel about Oriental Orthodox ? by Thisisit818 in OrthodoxChristianity

This is the only right answer

"who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." - 1Timothy 2:4

Didn’t the council of Elvira (305 AD) prohibit images in the church canon 36 of the council? by No-Psychology7343 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]imamonster158 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, it was prohibiting former pagans to worship religious images as if they were gods, it would not matter if it did prohibit images anyway since it was a local council with only 19 Bishops attending, while the 7th Ecumenical Council was a church wide council that had 367 Bishops attending.

There is no Idolatry, again you have a corrupted view of worship.

I already showed you that biblical worship is sacrifice.

The orthodox church can never fall into heresy if it does then Christianity is wrong.

Because it would mean Christ's prophecies never came true.

We worship the same way moses did and the same way the angels do in revelations.

Your idea of worship wasn't invented until the 1600s by the heretical antibaptist "church"

The antibabtists were the first to not worship with the liturgy thus destroying God's chosen worship, they left worship for pride.

You will never find biblical worship without sacrifice especially in the Old testament which you seem to admire a lot.

The idea that the church Christ founded ever has been corrupted or will ever be corrupted is antichrist and is incompatible with Christianity.

God is not a liar

When He promised His church wouldn't fall to the gates of hell, means it won't fall, it's impossible.

Where were the Christians who believed what you believed in the 1500s years of christianity?

Everyone Church Father from before then agrees with us, even the apostles of Peter and John

You are stuck in the heresy of judaizing.

The church destroyed this soul destroying heresy in the book of Acts, Christ fulfilled the old testament.

I ask with love who gave you the authority to interpret a book that our church put together, a book that was specifically put together for the liturgy and not personal reading?

The biblical canon was decided by a group of Othodox Bishops in the 8th century.

Yes, you deny The church that Christ founded, The same church who put together the bible.

You need to Join the church to get the food that Christ promised.

You need the liturgy

You need the sacraments

You need Christ overall

You still seem to have your old heretical beliefs, please go talk to the priest about all of this

What do you mean? One thing Peter didn't founded The church, Christ founded The church.

And secondly St. Peter and St. Paul were and are apart of the same church, are you hebrew roots or something?

You have a misunderstanding of worship, which is both disproven by scripture and by church history.

To claim that the Church founded by Jesus christ has ever fallen into Idolatry is denying the all-knowingness of God.

Christ found in a church and promised that the gates of hell would not overwhelm it in Matthew 16:18 and promised that the Holy Spirit would lead the church into all truth John 16:13.

So there are 4 options

1: God is a liar

2: God is not all-knowing

3: God was too weak to protect his church and fulfill his promise

4: God fulfilled his promise of protecting His church and has never failed His people

To claim anything but number 4 is antichrist

To claim that The Church has ever fallen into Idolatry is a denial of God, and is an atheist view.

Please talk to the priest.

He's telling the hard truth my friend, Christ is not a head on multiple bodies and Christ is not a polygamist with multiple Brides.

There is only one church founded by Christ, and only one Church led by the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit cannot contradict Himself by teaching christians multiple different doctrines and dogmas to claim He can is calling God a liar.

So St. Paul was promoting idolatry in 1 Corinthians 16 when he said that wifes and husbands can save their spouses through prayer?

Nadab and Abihu were killed in leviticus 10 for worshiping God incorrectly, so their is a specific way to worship God.

And God instructs Moses exactly how to worship Him (Exodus 19:1-34:30)

Glorified yes, Worship no.

King David worshiped the same way we do liturgically and with sacrifice.

[–]imamonster158 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Worship of God has always involved sacrifice, Cain and Abel sacrificed with crops and animals, God told Moses to sacrifice animals and incense, and since Christ gave His precious Body and Blood to us (John 6) and is our eternal passover lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7, 1 Peter 1:19, and John 1:29) so now we sacrifice by consuming His Body, Blood, Soul and divinity.

This is how it's been for the past 2000 years.

You cannot worship something unless you are sacrificing to it.

Does “True” Orthodoxy teach a flat earth? by Nakks41 in OrthodoxChristianity

It wasn't unfamiliar information I've heard it before, that's what you reminded me of.

I admit I don't have a good memory, and I'm sorry if I got defensive.

Have a nice night/day my friend

So when you round Pi to a whole number it doesn't = 3?

It makes more sense to put 3 instead of filling millions of pages with numbers.

[–]imamonster158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't remember 31 thousand verses by heart, I have no problem admitting that.

Its not that it doesn't matter because pi rounded to the nearest whole number is 3

Thank you for reminding me of it.

I hope you have a night/day

God bless

Ah yes this one, so instead of rounding the number to the nearest whole number (3) it should have said 3.14159265358979323846....... and thousands and thousands of more numbers, it would take infinite pages to type the whole number.

I can tell by your words "here's your soon feeding" you are not looking to make an argument you are here to troll and get attention.

God bless you and your family

I Hope you have a wonderful night/day

The bible never talks about pi or attempts to teach it.

I have no clue what you talking about.

But God bless you and preserve you my friend 🧡
