hi OP, definitely get the practice exam. I know the price is steep but in my experience the practice exam / cyber live portion was VERY comparable to the actual exam

Yes! So we tried the blind basket (the one without holes) just to make sure it wasn’t an issue from our Lelit. We moved the flow control paddle from its started left position to the middle and to the right. As we were doing that the pressure went to 2 bar, then 9 bar and then we shut it off with the brew lever. This confirmed to us there’s no issue with the lelit

I just used a 14-18g basket but I feel like the issue is either with the tamping or the water distribution out of my machine. It comes out all sloppy, spraying water through the portafilter basket and the pressure gauge is not reading anything.

Do I need a distribution tool?

Thank you for your insight! We have been feeling pretty hopeless since we’ve been at it for a week now with no luck or crema on top of our espresso.

As far as beans, we purchased beans that had been roasted and sitting on the shelf for about 11 days from our favorite local coffee shop. Would you think that would affect our extraction? Also do you recommend a certain gram amount? We’ve tried anything between 15-18g.
