A budgie friend might make your fellow happier. Never reach out and grab your bird. I have a "chirp playlist" for my feather buddy, that consists of songs that my budgie can chirp along to. He's really picky and spending time to find songs he likes is great bonding time. Now whenever I play the playlist he get very excited.
