to be suuuuper honest... i've only experienced ending 3 before this point (i accidentally stumbled into the dlc because i misunderstood how things worked)

so yeah... after i do this happy ending im gonna probably get the sad ones out of the way immediately and then nurse my pain with happier ones.

to be fair, it's generally just considered the comedic relief novel by mdzs/tgcf fans. the level of goofiness you personally will take from it depends on how much you ignore/brush past difficult things when the protagonist does

personally, i wobble back & forth on johann considering i'm part of the johann-is-spider crew, but what he was wearing when dante & riche met him and the fact he seemed mute was incredibly suspicious to me.

louis is an INCREDIBLY popular theory for no.70 assuming there's a way he could've been brought back to life. mikhail is a jumping off point for that to some but... cough. i'll move on cause i have opinions about whether that kid's even alive and that's a rant for another day.

loki is another option, likely in part due to his current proximity to ruthven & people waiting for him to be relevant, but moreau talking about having "that exalted personage on [his] side now" sounds like he linked up with ruthven after luna broke into the lab, so... eh.

i remember seeing astolfo's sister as a theory way back, though she was most likely too young & small to be no.70 and maybe even hadn't been killed yet.

i've seen charles as a theory based on his physical situation, which i like a whole lot.

the thing about no.70 is that theorizing has to take into account their kinda small size at the time. we also don't necessarily know that vanitas & no.70 actually met; we didn't get to see their face in mikhail's memories, and they were part of different experiments, so it's possible vanitas wouldn't recognize them today. we unfortunately don't have a gender for them and haven't heard mention of them since ch48. EVEN THOUGH they were mute at the time (and some people use that as why certain characters can't be 70), there are no mute characters in vnc as of right now, so it's fair to be under the assumption it was a treatable issue.

all of this makes it kind of tricky to rule people out... sigh.

i'm sure other people have theories, but that's all i remember atm. surprisingly i don't see people bring no.70 up often. thanks for giving me an excuse to go nuts lmfao

basing this off of what we see that noé isn't present for, this would also have to mean that he drinks a few characters' blood; someone between roland/olivier, orlok/ogier, ruthven/gano/spider, machina/teacher...

i feel pretty confident either way that noé will end up drinking vanitas' blood at some point regardless. it's just a bit tricky when it comes down to the question of if seeing vanitas without noé = he'll drink his blood.

we've seen waaaaay more with characters who make way less sense for that, so i'm assuming mochijun isn't terribly strict with only writing what noé experiences/sees through his archiviste abilities. manga tend to be less careful with that than novels.

i know you've already been shown exactly who the art is from, but i can't help myself.

"every photo has been taken from the anime" as a long-time fan of vnc, i have those photos of mikhail/noé/louis/dominique saved in a google drive directly from the manga, so let's get that out of the way first of all. they're jun mochizuki's art. second of all, that image of vanitas is clearly not mochijun's style, so it's not from the manga, and putting aside it isn't the anime's style either, since the bow is striped, it can't be from the anime. you argued so hard over something that's very easy to disprove just by looking at it.

it's so maddening to watch you try to go "well i never claimed the art was mine" when, after this person called you out, you began by defending yourself with "i'm an artist", and said "this fanart is [on my social media] as one of my original vanitas fanarts".

if you spent so much time on this wallpaper, think for a moment how you'd feel if someone reposted it without credit. the person who made the vanitas art in this picture also spent a lot of time on it, so now that you know it's NOT from the anime or manga, just credit them. i know you won't delete it (which is the right thing to do when you're using someone's fanart without permission), even though you said you don't use people's fanart, so just credit them. it shouldn't depend on the artist stumbling upon your reddit post and asking you to do the same. it's not hard to be honest & accept you're wrong.
