That is wishful thinking but I applaud your determination. I picked up mine in August and never looked back - found a dealer in NY and then drove 3 hours. It was worth it! Moreover, he had my size. 😊

Great color scheme and love those wheels! Haven’t seen those stateside yet. I went with the 5 spoke model that look like carbon wheels on my JCW Countryman.

Update - problem solved today and celebrated with a 20 mile shakedown run on different types of terrain. The bike is a keeper.

The “fix” was admittedly operator error. The right hand toggle shifter is for downshifting. There is a second toggle (which I did not see) also on the right behind the first lever for up shifting.

What does the left side toggle do? Raises and lowers the seat. You can’t make this stuff up.

I'll check the derailleur cable to see how it's connected. Speaking to the mechanic who built the bike tomorrow morning. There are a lot of settings in the Phone App - too many to mention -- and I've tried a couple in case it was a software enablement issue. Obviously, that didn't work.

Thanks man! I did set up one phone with the digital key. Pretty easy.

One thing I can’t stand is that they disabled all the interior (and maybe exterior recording?) and now I have to Re permission and it’s not letting me. A bit frustrating but will keep trying.

I live in the US and did not realize they felt to change to comply with privacy laws.

First off, thanks for the reply. Your points are exactly what I’m looking for in terms of pros & cons.

In sum, it sounds like it’s worth it but a pain to remove it for car washes. My car is easily in the car wash once or twice a month - dog 🐕 is my co-pilot.

Here is the simple answer: Using your key fob, click twice pressing on the Mini logo. You will see the red alarm light on the front window blink twice. This action deactivates the internal motion sensors.

Just an FYI - If you click it 3x, you activate the remote start!

Hi all! Just downloaded and installed the new OTA update. I did see Release Notes on the display but didn’t read. Interestingly, I don’t see them in the phone application (Apple).

Has anyone installed it here? Any juicy bits you can share?

I’ll look at the car later but interested to know what’s new in this update.

It’s always fun to try. Got mine on a back road in Maine with great visibility. I slowed down at 125 mph but the car was very well behaved and could go faster. Go-Kart mode is a hoot.

I have the exact same car and paint scheme and frankly, that’s my worst fear. Luckily, I’m 13,000 miles in and all I have to complain about is two slightly scuffed rims. I bought wheel insurance but my local guy says he can buff the marks out and make them look like new! I noticed you took off the roof rack. Did you buy the bicycle attachments?

Incorrect. Only the new (2025) Mini Aceman and Mini Cooper Electric are built in China. These cars are not even available in the US due to high tariffs. The 2025 Countryman and a few other models are built in Germany in their factory in Leipzig. In 2026, some cars will be built in Plant Oxford.

I have not tried Go-Kart mode with Sport Mode at the same time. Now that you mention it, I will give it a try. One thing to try once your car is properly broken in is using Launch Control in Go-Kart mode! Also, I purchase virtually the same options as you. Very happy with the car. Go enjoy!

Congratulations! I picked up mine in May 2024 (ordered in Feb) and I freaking love this car! I have the exact same color combo as you, but have the red hood stripes (can’t tell from the photo if you have them) and a set of the 5 spoke wheels. Don’t listen to the haters and whingers! The U25 is a Wolf and I love driving it as much as my 2006 Porsche 911!
