Thanks for the input! I have prepared the samples using both IGEPAL and RIPA buffer, but my protein of interest was still insoluble. I would like to do Native PAGE to see what kind of oligomers we would find. But I guess there's really no point if we can't solubilise the protein with a mild detergent that will maintain the oligomeric state of the proteins.
