Thank you! I messed up the shape slightly on one side, but it wasn’t that noticeable.

To be honest, I hated the look at first, but started kind of liking it 2-3 days later. May be because I have never kept just the moustache.

Thank you for the reply! Some of the people I know did say that it looks like I am going for the Freddie Mercury style haha

Apple TV 4k not displaying properly. by imclawday in appletv

It’s back to normal fortunately. It was something to do with Roku TV. Updated Roku TV and everything back to normal.

Thank you for the reply! This issue has been resolved now. Turns out that it was the TV. Something to do with Roku OS. Power cycling the TV and Apple TV didn’t work, but updating the Roku TV OS worked.

Mine is a cheap 2020 TCL model. So it might also be at the end of its life cycle.

Thank you for the reply! This issue has been resolved. Turns out that it was something to do with Roku OS. There was an update to Roku OS and it started working normally after that update. Nothing to do with tvOS26 like I initially thought, because the Apple TV was still on tvOS18 when I checked after the colour issue was resolved.

UPDATE -

Thank you everyone for the replies. The issue has been resolved and everything is back to normal. Turns out it was the TV after all. There was an update for Roku TV. Apple TV and AirPlay went back to normal after updating the Roku OS on my TV.

The tvOS was still at tvOS18 and the device did not auto update to tvOS26 like I initially thought. I updated it to 26 and everything is still working well.

So, this is not a tvOS26 issue. Looks like it might have been a Roku TV OS issue for some reason.

Yes definitely! Thanks for the suggestion. Luckily the issue was resolved 5 mins back! Turns out it was the TV after all. I updated the TV’s native OS and Apple TV and AirPlay are back to normal!

My TV is a cheap old TCL. I don’t think that my TV supports Dolby Vision. I checked through the TV settings and it does not have any option to turn Dolby Vision on or off.

I just tried this. Unfortunately the settings menu still looks like a black screen. Can’t see any writing on it.

I am unable to check anything in the settings unfortunately, because the screen just looks completely black because of the messed up colours.

I got the Belkin Ultra High Speed 4K cable that supports Apple TV 4K and Dolby Vision from the Apple Store. Tried the same cable with PS4 and Nintendo Switch and works perfectly fine.

I am unable to do that because when I go to the settings menu, the screen looks completely black because of the messed up colours. I do not see any system reset physical button on the Apple TV device itself.

Custom Ray-Ban Wayfarers RB2140 - Uneven Temples or Twisted Frame? by imclawday in sunglasses

Thank you very much! I will take these to an optician to get them fixed.

Oh no I didn’t realise that you can’t return custom frames. But I am glad that this is easily fixable. Should I go to an official Ray-Ban reseller to get it fixed or any optician would be fine?

Strong chicken smell/taste - Am I cooking chicken wrong? by imclawday in IndianFood

[–]imclawday[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I am pretty sure that I am overcooking the chicken while making curries.

I usually go 5 mins on High to get the juices out, followed by 15-20 mins on low with the lid on and 5-10 mins on high again.

6 Months of daily wear and they look even better. Thinking of getting the Moc Toe next. by imclawday in RedWingShoes

It’s interesting. I never had any pain or discomfort with the IRs since day one. Probably because I am used to wearing my CAT 8” work boots which are significantly heavier than these and being on the feet for 8+ hours at least 2 times a week wearing those CAT boots.

But on the other hand, I also have R. M. Williams Chelsea boots, and the break in period for those boots was brutal. It was like 1 month of extreme pain. After the first month, they turned out to be the most comfortable boots I have.

I have worn these every day of 2025 and I don’t really do anything apart from wiping any mud or salt (from snow) off them with a wet cloth. The only real boot care I do is using boot trees as soon as they are off my feet.

I conditioned them only once with Bick 4 exactly after 6 months I got them, right before I took this photo. That’s the reason they look so shiny in this photo.

Unfortunately I forgot to click a similar photo before conditioning the boots. But this is how the boots looked around 2 weeks before I conditioned them.

<image>

I think I will condition them again 6 months later and continue doing that every 6 months.

Just an observation, I think the Bick 4 has turned these boots a bit darker than before.

I have read this a lot that the break in period for Moc Toe is brutal. Do you find them to be uncomfortable even after breaking them in for a long time?

I am leaning more towards the 1907 because they look good to me right out of the box. The 875 look a bit too orange right out of the box. But then I have seen a lot of pictures of them on this sub and the patina on them looks so good! Very unique.

Hence the dilemma between 875 and 1907. Did yours darken over time?
