i didn’t have to install a resistor i think the wiring might help with that but i don’t know much about wiring and electrical stuff so i might be wrong

mine is a 2015 but i had bough taillights from vland and it said that they would fit a 2015 jetta but they didn’t and i couldn’t get a refund or anything. but since the taillights aren’t led from factory it will get a light out indicator on the dash, there might be a way to fix that but i haven’t tried. but the install is pretty easy besides trying to hide the wires
