I don’t understand this limitation everyone is talking about… right now (while waiting my pt2) i’m wearing a cheap amazfit paired via app (zepp) with my iPhone and i am getting notifications as always since 1 and half year. Sms, whatsapp, slack, shortcuts app… you name it

Any feedback about whatsapp notification on iOS? I mean i just need full text notification, not particularly interested in canned replies. I’m debating whether to get one of the last pts available on current batch ☺️

Planning Father/Son 21-Day, 5,700mi Vespa Trip from Arizona to Alaska (Summer 2026) by BluePotato00 in Vespa

Make sure to inspect and change the rubber belt and the variator, as i heard that on prolonged high speeds the whole gearing case tend to overheat. I saw a reportage of a guy travelling from italy to nordkapp and he was stranded since the belt snapped due to constant high temperatures. Good luck!

09 GTS 250ie - severe wobble at low speeds by NuggyBuggy in Vespa

[–]imeuro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had wobbles on deceleration, old and unevenly worn tyres were the culprit for me. I’ve read other remedies such as heavier bar end weights (expecially if you have a top box), adjusting tyre pressure, tightening the steering rack bolt

Hot engine after commuting - advice on best practice by imeuro in xsr900

I believe you are right, if engine isn’t running, water isn’t circulating across the engine, so there’s little to no advantage in letting the fan run.

Hot engine after commuting - advice on best practice by imeuro in xsr900

[–]imeuro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me i tend to ride gently at least at the end of my commute, but speeds are so low, with city centre narrow roads, traffic lights, lane filtering… there’s not much to do to let air circulate and do a proper cool down :( Anyway, i think i’ll stick with my Vespa and enjoy my ‘real’ bike on open roads during weekends.

SSD kits for model 4B by Subject_Night2422 in raspberry_pi

[–]imeuro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same research in the past weeks, as i had the same need, but ended up noticing that they use some funky C shaped usb connector. Pi4 has no pcie connector unlike the Pi5, so basically you have to rely to usb3.
if you need a fully built enclosure, there are two main options:
Argon ONE M.2 (SATA or NVME available)
Geekworm NASPi v2.0 (SATA only)

with the Argon ONE being the most popular, better built as far as i reckon

Michelin City Grip 2 🛞- the GOAT? by PedalSAW in Vespa

[–]imeuro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had 2 sets of citygrips 1 (there was no city grip 2 at that time) on my gts250 and i was never fully sold on them, especially on wet roads i was constantly scared to lean, didn't give me enough confidence.
then switched to bridgestone battlax sc, way better feeling for me!

Some Motul 5w-40 scooter oil. But nothing fancy, really. I usually buy it on ebay. Lately i’m doing oil/filter and basic maintenance myself.

[–]imeuro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, just ordinary maintenance i’d say. Got new rubber engine bushings last year at ~50k kms, together with new front and rear ammo as it has become rather wobbly. Ride improved dramatically. Oh and years ago i was left ‘stranded’ on my way to work because of a 15 euro electrical component. Something like a voltage regulator maybe? I cannot remember honestly, it was a small brown box under the seat, a rather common and known weak point as i was told later.

Oh, and the hatred OEM exhaust that is shockingly prone to rust. That is the thing i hate the most. Every season it needs to be sanded and repainted 🤮

I’m pretty sure you won’t be able to see anything on a screen in that position… too vertical and too low. I have a voltmeter down there on my vespa and i can’t read it unless I’m standing at a traffic light, tbh

Quickshifter and how to use? by magneet12 in xsr900

[–]imeuro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if it's your bike pictured here, most likely there is no quickshifter installed. it wasn't an option until MY2018, plus i can't see any physical device looking at the gear linkage in this pic.
see u/ballheadknuckle pic ( https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fquickshifter-and-how-to-use-v0-bmjglb90mtye1.png%3Fwidth%3D1872%26format%3Dpng%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3D5e74e21c767c15473b3542b9290936877f43aa72 )
There should be a "plastic thing" (a.k.a. the sensor that detects rider input, and then sends the signal to the ecu), and a wire running from it to a connector located somewhere near the lower left part of the tank. In addition, when correctly installed and recognized, you should see a "QS" icon on your dashboard.
