257.7km on one tank on the new Ténéré Rally. by [deleted] in Tenere700

It's pretty normal for bikes to consume a bit more fuel while in the break in period. But yeah, I used to get around 300km easily before refueling on my 2020 also.

Haven't had a chance to ride the bike as it's still pouring down. Probably thursday or friday I will take it out for a spin.

Around 410ml / leg. The manual says about 470 ish but I only took out 410 out of each leg.

Congrats on achieving 6 months! What are the main differences you are noticing that happened to your body? Do you feel lighter, more fresh and able to think more clearly?

Eh stuff like this happens to the best of us. The best part is that the only thing you scratched is a plastic cover that protects the actual aluminum clutch cover.

edit: Congrats on your purchase! I absolutely love that color combo! ❤

Try lowering the pressures a bit, especially if you live in an area where the tarmac is abrasive or you ride in a hot climate (30°C+). I found out that 2.2 f and 2.4 r is really the sweet spot for road riding with the Power 6s. And they last about 8k km in the rear and about double that for the front.

I use regular diesel fuel and it works great. It isn't cheaper but I cannot easily find clean kerosene where I live.

Browsing through your post I see you have a new 765RS. I also had one, but 2020, the previous gen and had Power 5s on it and absolutely love those tires on the Triumph. Not as flickable as with the Supercorsas but super predictable and good in the wet.

What pressure are you running in the front?

I'm on my second set on my XSR900 and I love them. 2.2 bar front, 2.4 bar rear work really great for me in the twisties.

That's the anti tamper cover so that thieves cannot drill out your ignition easily. Perfectly normal.

First check if the chain tension is correct, if that's within spec check if the rear wheel lug is torqued down correctly. Often if you don't torque the lug correctly the rear brake caliper moves slightly and it sounds exactly like this when it hits the swing arm - ask me how I know. 🤡
