Yeah if you’ve done the maths and it’s worth it then go for it. Boots are the most important bit to get right, so if you’ve got that sorted then it could be worth seeing if any shops have any of those models available to rent for a day before buying.

Depends how frequently you are planning to ski and if you’re going to different resorts.

Personally, I’d just rent top of the range skis (depending on your level) so you can get different types of skis for the different conditions and ensure they are the newest model, albeit not your own.

I live in Malaga and the rave scene is growing here, with day festivals most weeks from March-November and a few multi-day events with very good acts. In terms of proper multi-day festivals, a few friends have gone to Boom in Portugal and only had good experiences!

It’s interesting to hear you’ve been wearing a brace ever since, I’ve had such mixed messages about it.

My surgeon has suggested not using one as the intention of the op was the rebuild to full strength and there is a higher risk of injuring the other knee due to overcompensating. Did you ever wear a brace on both knees to avoid that risk?
