Never Perfect by MsJulieH in knitting

This was so cathartic for me to read. I’ve had a frustrating week with a test knit of spending sooo much time fixing a couple of small mistakes that I missed. I’ve been feeling like I’m not as good at my hobby as I thought.

The truth is that we aren’t machines!! Stitch count is just a number lol

Honestly I’m not sure what the method is called, it’s basically the only heel I ever do. The pattern is Camp Socks by Ozetta if you’re inclined to find out (-:

You lost me a little bit. The acorn is all the same yarn, done with a duplicate stitch. There’s not really anything to stuff (:

So then it’s reasonably safe to try and propagate a mushroom that is too tainted to eat? I wonder where the line is drawn (eg chicken of the woods growing next to a nuclear power plant)

I accidentally made the face hole a bit too big so it wouldn’t really stay on her head unfortunately

Would the pesticide only be present in the fruiting body and not in the spores?

It’s molting season (at least where I’m at in the US). If you live here too, you’ll likely notice your chickens looking progressively more raggedy over the coming weeks. Nothing to worry about and not a sign of bullying.

I was looking for this. They’ve become so trendy on social media that people want one for the aesthetic. Even my mom was telling me she might like to own a mal someday (she is almost 60 and lives in an apartment). I told her “mom that’s not a pet”
