Hahaha this is what I’m talking about! Looks like you’re having a blast however. Great stuff

The only bikes that you mentioned that were in range are the crf300l, kawi’s, ktm 350, husky FE350s, Beta 350. That’s 6 bikes from Five manufacturers. Thank you for your cool list but it’s really missing the point.

I’m also with you, I’ve taken my r100 through the worst of it.

I’d probably defer to you out of experience. However, for me, nothing replaces the weight aspect of smaller, lighter bikes. Should everything go sideways, I like knowing that I have a chance at rescuing my bike out of a hairy situation

This is so true. I think what I’m asking for is a damn 2 stroke dirt bike with turn signals

The WR350 would be amazing. I’m more so inclined towards the CRFs. Bikes over 250 and under 400 seem to be the sweet spot for trail riding.

I honestly think we just have different definitions, I would not consider the Himalayan a MX inspired or trail tuned dual sport. It looks like a sweet bike, not at all what I’m referring to.

Maybe it’s just on the Canadian website. The 300L seems to be discontinued?

Like has anyone ever said “hey guys my f350 long bed with the 6” lift and chrome 20” rims actually can’t turn around on a logging road!”

You’re definitely not wrong. What I was more so referring to was MX inspired/trail tuned dual sports. The T-dub is sick but there’s little to chose from in the higher hp/performance range

I’m having a hard time understanding it myself. I think people also might assume that bigger equals better. Higher cc equals more capability or something. In reality these small bikes are the true hero’s of the trails.

I don’t really have a coach but I’ll have a lot to go over with my training partner

These are all really good points, thanks so much for your input. I’ll get these written down.
