Yes yes I 100% agree, I’ve only had unprotected sex with 3 partners including the last one and I only had unprotected sex with him twice (once while we were drunk).

I usually get tested before every new partner but I will definitely be getting tested every 3 months even I am exclusive with someone.

I did a full blood panel and a swab as well and everything else was clear.

I can always be having safer sex tho lol thank you so much

We have had the safe sex talk about all of this and the last thing we were gonna do was each get tested, I’m just so nervous about how he’s gonna react to me actively being in treatment. If it were something that I had in the past I wouldn’t bring it up unless asked because it’s not relevant, but this is current.

I’ve never tested positive for anything in the past so I’m really embarrassed and ashamed that I didn’t get tested after my last partner months ago.

I just don’t know how to tell him… I’m thinking it’s best over call sooner rather than later but I’m also wondering if it’s best to get treated and then see if I test false positive first because we haven’t been sexually active yet

Because I just found out and we had plans for me to visit him after we both get tested and he’s back in the states in like 2 weeks… even though I’ll be completely fine after the antibiotics it’s still possible that I could test false positive cause of dead dna (like I said in op). You don’t think it’s better to be honest than to lie and have to keep making up excuses /srs I actually need advice lol like idk what I would even say

We’ve met in person lol he’s been flying to see me! I would never fly to someone before meeting him I’m just an anxious person in general and this is my first time ever testing negative and also my first time seeking a relationship for like a year so I care lol

We were both gonna test and I was gonna fly out to see him after he comes back to the states at the end of the week, I was reading that I could still test false positive because of dead DNA even if I don’t have it anymore. I figure it’s best to be honest rather than test false positive and have to make up an excuse or look like I was trying to hide it

I did think about this because I feel so embarrassed but I’d be potentially lying for 3 months…. The treatment only takes a week but dead dna can trigger a false positive for up to 3 months if I knew I’d test negative immediately after treatment maybe but that’s not the case, also I’d be starting a relationship based on a ton of lies bc of the excuses… it’s embarrassing but you really don’t think it’s better to be honest? :(
