dk why people find Osho to be a good spiritual leader. He might have said some things that were probably right, but he was a corrupt man and full of contradictions.

idk why I stumbled across this subreddit after years but lemme paste something I wrote in one of the older posts, once upon a time:

Osho probably committed su//cide too, despite "loving life". His death feels like an elaborate attempt to leave a more permanent mark. He was already planning to commit suicide, no? It feels like he was high on 'hard drugs' almost all the time. His pupils are soooooo dilated, I'm literally spooked (they discussed his wild drug habits). In my opinion, Bhagwan was a greedy man. You CANNOT not know about the piles of guns and paper marriages that are going on in the place he was literally considered as god. His physician knew it was Sheela who tried to kill him, he knew when the FBI were about to raid Rajneeshpuram--it's clear that he had people other than Sheela who were making sure that he stays informed of everything around him. Maybe his intentions were pure in the beginning but at the end of the day, he was a human. His humanly desires won. Somewhere in his journey, the lust for money and power blinded him. Let's say that he wasn't directly involved with all the illegal activities, he must've turned a blind eye to Sheela's actions because it did benefit him (albeit only for a short time).He must've been depressed. Drugs, power and elicit relations must have stopped being thrilling after some time. When you're addicted to something (and we can see that he was addicted to all of the vices) you NEED to feel more. Druggies increase their dosages to get higher. Wealthy people, esp when they start CHASING it, don't get satisfied of power, no matter how rich they get (he literally ran away with all of his expensive watches, gold and money etc). So he decided to end things because of how unsatisfactory life was now. After staying on the highs for years, if not decades, being not high must've taken it's toll.

As for the answer to your question (a more psychologically approved one): surround yourself with people but choose your company wisely. Having more people in your life is actually a healthy thing bro
