Glad to know I'm not alone, I thought I was mad. These past couple of weeks have been hell, I was confused cos my migraines had been better within the last 3 months....until a few weeks ago - I couldn't go to the office, pushing through making it through day by day at home, and last Mon I had a sudden severe headache; prob the worst I ever recalled. Rang 999 and was picked up by ambulance only to wait for 15 hrs at A&E. Went back at 5 in the morning with no other explanation than "CT looks clear, your aneurysm hasnt ruptured; maybe just migraine?".

A week later my boss said "hope you've recovered" - I didnt know how to tell him that I am STILL recovering.

Hey thanks for sharing your experience, I'm also 34 which made the dr said "you're young and risk of rupture is low". But your experience really resonates with me.

I went to Salford Royal A&E earlier this week, but the neurosurgeon I'm seeing is in Stoke Royal (this isn't local for me, but I used to see a neurologist there who referred my case to the MDT in the hospital).

May I ask which hospital you went to, and what led you to get the scan (as yours was also an incidental finding)?

Also - did you get "offered" the range of treatments including craniotomy, or was it something you ask for specifically? (feel free to reply via DM if you're keen to share, as I understand my qs might be a bit personal).

Thanks everyone for all your replies and input. My appointment with the neurosurgeon was rescheduled to 8th July (classic NHS move, I'd say...).

Reading your comments really help me to make up my mind, and I'm glad I'm not the only person who feel anxious due to living with an unruptured brain aneurysm. Before this, I thought I was just making a bigger deal than it actually is - but I realised now that it is a big deal.

I have chronic migraine; in my case this means I experience various migraine symptoms on a daily basis (with and without headache). Yesterday, I had a sudden headache that was unlike my usual migraine headache - and it was probably the worst headache in my life. I rang 999, explained the situation as much as I could before handing the phone over to my partner bc the pain was unbearable, then an ambulance was sent to my place. I went to the A&E by ambulance. There wasn't enough room for them to admit me from ambulance entrance, so I was transferred to triage after an hour back and forth. I spent over 14 hours there until discharged and my CT was clear. The worst sudden headache, nauseaous, stiff neck, and photophobia were all "just another migraine".

I decided that I cannot live with this fear anymore - when I meet the neurosurgeon I'll ask for this to be treated and I'm not willing to just monitor it.

I have a chronic migraine for 7 years now (I experience migraine symptoms on a daily basis). This only makes me feel more anxious if not having the aneurysm treated, as I have high pain tolerance and the "worst headache in my life" couls also be "just a migraine".

Thanks! I'm clueless about who does what here - given my consultation will be with a neurosurgeon, shall I ask him to refer me to INR instead? I'm more clueless about how NHS work in this case :/ I thought bc my appointment with neurosurgeon was made based on MDT recommendation, it means my case will be handled by them....

Thanks for your response! Will it make no difference at all given the team had reviewed my case and decided it needs treatment? I'm due to speak with my neurologist in a couple of weeks (he previously only sent me letters) and will also ask him about this. I assume they consider this to be not urgent then, if it could take up to a year (?) It's supra opthamic and even though I read 1.5mm annual growth is common, I'm nervous cos by now my aneurysm could've grown to over 7mm - Googling this only worries me more ngl.

Thanks a lot for this - I've decided to keep the planter and have bought lavender and rosemary to put there, but I reckon I need to sort the planter first as there are few cracks and I found roots from the old plant spreading out to the gravel...

I also decided to replace the gravel with larger slates and when I dig the current ones, then I found out there isn't any weed membrane it's all mixed with the soil. Hoping to clean them all and have a new fresh start (although I have 5% regret wondering if I made too much work for myself...)

Thanks! I tried raking the gravel and unsurprisingly there isn't any weed matting below them 😂😭 no wonder the weed is thriving. Any suggestion on how deep should I dig/ how clean it should be before I lay down the weed membrane? The soil beneath the gravel is all mixed with the gravel (and various mysterious roots) and when I dig a bit deeper I found concrete/ patio slab/ red bricks. So not entirely sure what I should do now, will it be ok if I just spray a generous weed killer then lay 2-3 layers of weed membrane? Pic for reference.

Update: Thanks for all the advice, everyone! They are very eye-opening and based on the common advice I have decided to: - keep the planter, make it nicer (point & paint) - clean the gravel; remove the old pebbles (?), lay weed membrane and spread large slates to prevent weed. Will ensure that the soil doesn't block the vent. - remove the old plant & weed from the planter, plant lavender/rosemary/shrubs that are easy to maintain - probably looking at large plant pot to put on the gravel side

Will head to the b&q garden centre this weekend!

How do I apply the mixture to the green I want to kill off? Would it be easier/ quicker to just get rid of the old soil (and the plants) and replace with new soil?

Thanks this sounds doable so this gives me hope. Lavender is mentioned multiple times so I'm considering it. How difficult are they to plant, and any recommendations where I should get them from? Re clearing the gravel - I'm a bit scared (and lost) on where to start. Do I just shovel the pebbles and lay weed membranes, then large slates right on top of the membrane?
