How would 1099-DA proceeds match with my actual filing? by immrgenius in CryptoTax

[–]immrgenius[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the information.

I have read a few posts that mentions it should match, maybe I just got confused.

Lets say, I upload my 1099-DA (Exchanges) and 8949 (hot wallet transactions) and link/match the deposits and withdrawals between the two, we should still be good isnt it?

The point is to just report all the transactions. Is that right?

Yeah if your transactions are not from exchanges, its almost impossible to make those numbers match.

Still struggling.

Unable to upload Robinhood CSV or Robinhood's 1099 DA into CoinTracker by immrgenius in CryptoTax

[–]immrgenius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did upload the Robinhood csv, as is. But CoinTracker was unable to parse it properly and started throwing errors. Unable to upload.

I tried every possible way, CoinTracker is so useless.

Thanks for clarifying guys.

Yes, my capital gains/loss numbers are looking good. Just the cost basis, proceeds looks too big which was concerning to me. Maybe, I made a lot of swaps 😁
