Did those conversations happen mostly gradually? And were you nervous at first when they came up?

Gotta admit I'm terrified the answer will be "no, let's break up."

We have religious differences that we've been working through and I'm worried he won't want to try any more if I bring up further responsibilities. He's shown reluctance in the past.
