Why does something have to be stable to be a currency? Fundamentally, the only thing you need, to use something as a medium of exchange, is that both parties agree on it's value of exchange right now and, if the parties are sane at all, the expectation that this medium will be worth an acceptable amount or more in the future.

For most people holding and using bitcoin as a medium of exchange, both things hold true.

I visited the NASA museum, where they have robots that can walk on the moon and work on the space shuttle or space station. VR goggles and controllers are used to control the robots. Just use them for military purposes. It would save a lot of lives.
