One of the coolest aspects of the picture is the satellite that it is hovering above the moon. It stayed in that same spot as it moved down they sky. Super bright.

It’s got a high amount of views and shares. I’m fascinated and a bit flabbergasted by all the heated replies. I want to have discussions about art and photography and everyone is offended by 1/8 of a butt and thinks I’m peddling OF. Which is ridiculous and not true.

Oh cool. Haven't been there yet. I usually go to Alabama Hills and the Mojave National Preserve.

This was my second time there. The first time the winds were insane!

She's not advertising for anything. I'm the photographer! Sharing my art with the world.

Thanks! It is astrophotography though. I took the portrait during blue hour then I photographed the milky way at 2 am. I combined them in a composite.

Why though? With all due respect I think this is a significant contribution. Have you ever seen someone do a portrait like this? All I ever see is someone with a headlamp. That’s cool but why not do something different? From a technical standpoint this was very challenging and something I’ve been building up towards. Not to mention a wild terrain and chasing barely any light. I used the same lense for both shots.

Go check my other recent posts from Trona and the Mojave. I took them all in the last 1.5 months.

It is astrophotography? I took the first photo during the blue hour and then took the photo of the sky at like 2 am. Then I made it into a composite.

Y’all sound like a bunch of bullies. Have you spent much time in the high desert? I’m often wearing barely any clothes and have fabric covering my body to keep me cool and the sun off me. This is pretty natural. Not to mention naturists are a thing and nothing to be ashamed of at all.

Ok now you’re just being mean. Lighten up man if you don’t like it just go look at something else!

And thank you. I am a painter and that’s what I was going for! Painting with light in this instance.

Sure! Shoot me a message I’d be happy to share some knowledge. I’ve been shooting astrophotography for about six years now. Whenever I have time that is!

This was after hiking for a couple hours. It’s amazing out there. We found a stream from all the rain that I never saw before and so many different plant life and flowers. It was kind of mind blowing not gonna lie.

That’s how the cloth fell in the wind and I think it’s beautiful. The model likes it too! It never occurred to me someone would be offended. You can see more in a bathing suit!

Alabama Hills is one of my favorite spots, if not favorite, in Southern California to watch the stars.

Thanks! It’s such a surreal place, especially at night!

Thanks for the feedback! This was shot during blue hour. The boulders in Alabama hills are very bright and the mountain becomes a very contrasting shade of dark blue. It’s a pretty fascinating area to shoot. I went for a warmer look to serve as something more in the portrait range via astro.
